It's an interesting system. You can basically choose from a selection of ingredients, including meat, veggies, seafood, noodles, and tofu. There's a big bowl where you put your favourites. There's a base price, and whatever you choose is an 'add-on'. There are several types of soup to choose from (and the spicy level), you pay for them and they will cook for you. There are additional toppings and sauce (chilli) for free. I recommend the udon noodles. I think Udon noodles go best with. Beef, meatballs, deep-fried tofu and mushrooms go well. The price is a bit high... between €17〜25 per bowl. The service is ok. The staff is helpful and kind. If you are not 'good' at spicy food, don't put raw chilli. My husband was almost died from it. lol

As a big fan of all things soup-related and spicy, I had to try Yangguofu Malatang in Hamburg and I’m really glad I did. I went there for lunch and had the beef broth at the spiciest level. It was delicious — not just spicy for the sake of heat, but genuinely savoury and flavorful. The setup is great: you pick your own ingredients from a wide selection of toppings and noodles, then they weigh it and cook it in your chosen broth. I believe the price is by weight. Highly recommend giving it a try at least once, especially if you’re into bold, warming flavors. Will definitely go back.

The staffs are nice and friendly. Great service mind and atmosphere 🥰 I feel like this price is relatively cheaper compared to another one I had in Stuttgart. Tomato soup is a bit way too salty tho😅anyways~ the beef broth is totally worth it !! So yummy 😋. This one cost me around 15€. It was Sunday evening so we were able to find some free parking spots right in front of the restaurant. :)
