Boardinghouse Rosenstraße — Hotel in Hamburg

Returned here this time as a solo guest and got a one bedroom apartment on the 4th floor. Check-in after 5pm meant the key was in a coded key-box at the entrance, no problems and the lift took me up to the 4th! Very clean and new looking as last time and everything you need including some little gifts, Apple juice, water, biscuits and plenty of tea and coffee and long-life milk. Just so nice after travelling to find these included in the fee. Every amenity for preparing your own meal, but with the assortment of restaurants all within 5 mins walking didn’t need to cook! Nearest bus stop for Strandkai & Haven City (warehouse area & Miniatur Wonderland) is about 6mins walk away as is the hautbanhof for all trains and Metro services. This was my second visit and I wouldn’t hesitate in returning as I use Hamburg as a “rest” place before onward travel. One tip - the minimum stay...

Fantastic clean and modern apartment in a superb location for everything you are likely to visit in this beautiful city. Plenty of space with all new modern appliances and a super bathroom with shower that worked perfectly! A rare beast I find on my travels! Very warm and also nice comfortable beds, some reviewers mentioned the pillows so I took my own, but didn’t really need it! They are soft, so if you prefer harder then yes take yours! Very helpful,and obliging staff who fielded my phone call at 23:30 on day of arrival as I was having trouble finding it in the dark! NB - maybe a note regarding nearby restaurant would help? The operators of the accommodation demand an advance payment for reservations, but in my case they forgot to mention this. Exactly two weeks before the planned stay I was asked to pay two weeks before the planned stay, so I criticised this and was assured on the phone that I still had a few days to transfer the money. One day later, the reservation was cancelled and I had to change to a worse accommodation for more money, since due to the shorter time until the vacation, the prices for accommodation increased.
