Beautiful place that takes you back in time, but in a good way! Unfortunately, most cities are slowly but surely losing their charme, with a Starbucks (or whatever other chain) on every corner - This is the exact opposite of that. A stunning little tea house in the middle of the old town on a beautiful square. Great tea and coffee, really enjoyed the cake and granola, too (the granola/yoghurt was definitely freshly made). Don’t be misguided but the name, this place is also more than suitable for coffee lovers - personally, I would recommend the filter coffee, as it’s flavorful and pleasant (I believe I had 3 large ones in one sitting). The atmosphere is also amazing - if you have the chance to visit during the fall time, count yourself as lucky. This is the perfect fall/coffee shop vibe and I will definitely be back again! Service ranged from ok-ish to amazing (the second waitress that came in was super nice and helpful, absolutely erased the experience with the first ok-ish waitress).

If you’re ever in Hannover - make sure to...

Loved that place in terms of interior decoration and staff. I’ve visited it first time. Small hints: No table reservation possible, plan more time during peak hours to get a seat. Only cash paying method is accepted.

As mentioned in the beginning I loved the place, for my friend the place seemed to crowded and too dark (I guess it depends on everybody’s taste). The service staff was super polite and friendly all the time. The teas (I had the Tiger Spice Chai) were delicious, the cheesecake was fine. It was a nice experience to visit that small and cozy tea stall. The prices were bit high (prices comparable with Starbucks), BUT it’s family owned, it’s traditional, homemade and therefore worth the price level!!! I will come definitely again to try other teas & cakes.

PS: Why 4 stars? Only cash payment possible :( And a bit slowly service (consider that it’s not a coffee bar where you shortly jump in & jump out, it’s a place where you celebrate your tea and enjoy conversation with friends or read...

The service here is terrible, I can only presume the reviews are related to the quality of the food and the location. Which are nice in all fairness but when sitting outside you wait up to 30 minutes to get noticed.

After visiting here on separate occasions and sitting outside we ordered sandwiches, cake and a drink. Cake arriving first? Then sandwiches and then drinks. Still don’t understand the logic?

Again giving the benefit of the doubt that it’s a busy place so maybe the next visit would be a success. Opting to take away this time to avoid waiting. After asking 4 different servers if we could take away but being told to wait for someone else passing on the task from person to person. Finally making an order then being told to “we prefer cash” which we didn’t have. Then cheekily being told “well next time bring cash”.

It’s 2023, people carry cards over cash. There won’t be a next time. Take note and train your servers to be polite or at...

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at this place. I tried to keep a good spirit during my one hour stay there but it was irreversibly bad. The service was very slow and unfriendly. They looked overworked and inexperienced. So I excused them. The tea was more infused water than tea. The waffle was served cold and with only one small TEASPOON of jam. And the cake was okay. When I wanted to pay, I asked the waitress if I could pay and if she could be quick because I had an appointment but it looked as if she deliberately decided to do the opposite. And everything was overly priced. My message to the owners: Please take care of your products and your service more than you pay attention to your decor. My message to customers: you deserve better.

a hidden gem don’t miss it! Super authentic cafe with great ambiance. This place is highly recommended to visit when you are in Hannover. All the historical items look lovely. The coffee and homemade cakes were delicious. The atmosphere was so cozy . The flower boxes outside the window were ready for spring and blooming beautifully. This darling place is what my romantic, blissful, German dreams are made of. They had blankets outside on the brick patio and heaters since it is a bit chilly here this time of year. This was a treasure to find and spend an afternoon. I will come back here every chance I get when I come to Hannover!
