I was in "Da Baggio Restaurant" to dinner with my family (wife and two kids, with 14 and 10 years old). We sat down and ordered food and drinks. Everything was fine. I looked for the bathroom and didn't found it. Then, I asked a waiter that had just finished to serve a table: "Excuse me Sir, where is the toilette, please?". Suddenly, he was totally crazy! He shouted at me, at a very high volume, that I would have to wait, because he was serving another costumers. He was very rude and aggressive, and yelled at me in front of the whole restaurante, and also my wife and kids. I felt terrified and just replied: "Calm down, man, calm down...". He shouted that I had no manners, that he wouldn't have to calm down, and a lot of bad things to me. Finally, he pointed with fury the direction to the toilette, without specific orientations. I was really shocked by the unexpected situation and just went to the bathroom. The other waiter (that was a nice guy) was also shocked with what happened and apologized to us later. But the waiter (later I found that his name is "Dimitrius") didn't apologize, looked or talked to us during the dinner. We tried to talk with the owner/manager but he wasn't there. We came back the next day and talked with one of the two owners. He was really nice and apologized for all that happened. We are very sad and hope that no one experience the same humiliating situation. But we wish all the best to the restaurant and the owners, who seem to be nice guys and worried with...
Read moreI came to spend a few days in Heidelberg and have been falling in love with everything: the nature, the architecture, and the wonderful gastronomy. That’s why, trusting the good reviews, I made a reservation at this restaurant hoping for a special evening to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday.
Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite the opposite. We started with a small skewer appetizer and ordered pizzas, which took over 40 minutes to arrive. That might be understandable in a busy restaurant... but the place wasn’t even full. On top of that, the table next to us was extremely loud, making it hard to enjoy the atmosphere.
When the pizzas finally arrived, we found a piece of aluminum in my girlfriend’s pizza. We informed the staff, but they didn’t seem to care we didn’t even receive an apology. I had clearly mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration, hoping for at least a small gesture, but it was evident that no one had read the note or paid attention to it.
And to top it all off, the waitress had the audacity to act arrogantly when it came time to pay. I honestly don’t understand why we were the only ones who had such a disappointing experience that night. We were treated poorly for no reason at all.
Heidelberg is full of beautiful spots and charming restaurants. Don’t waste your time at this one there are much...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience! Our first night in Heidelberg was ruined here. The male staff made a mistake on my order. It supposed to be OK if he just changed it for me. BUT he kept blaming on me. He repeated 3 times like "this is what you ordered! You ordered Rosso. now you wanna change?" .It's impossible because I don't eat beef and my partner also confirmed I didnt order wrongly and this staff also confirmed my order by repeating " Gusto Mare". But I really couldn't take this wrong order as I don't eat beef. Then the staff seemed mad at me and kept blaming on me like it was my mistake. He said it loudly as if he wanted to let his colleagues know. How did he remember exactly what I ordered if he couldn't take the order correctly using only his memories to record. When we told him he should the one to apologize for the wrong order. He said something irrelevant like "I was nice to let you both to have a seat, I could just ask to go away" it was weird. It was totally not related and it shouldn't mean you can shift your responsibility to...
