We visited this restaurant with a bit of skepticism about the taste, but right from the moment of booking, the warmth and inviting responses of the owner gave us a unique feeling of comfort—something most restaurants don’t offer these days.

We ordered the Mezz Platter, Falafel, Shish Tawouk, and Pita Bread, and every single dish turned out to be a delightful revelation. Each plate carried the true essence of authentic Syrian cuisine. I emphasize Syrian because, nowadays, many restaurants generalize everything under “Arab cuisine,” blending Turkish, Lebanese, Syrian, and even Greek influences—often diluting the original flavors. But here, the authenticity stood out beautifully.

Every dish we tried was savored and loved by our entire family. The flavors were rich, soulful, and true to their origins. What elevated the experience even further was the unmatched Syrian hospitality—warm, genuine, and heartfelt, making us feel more like guests in a home than customers in a restaurant.

We had an amazing meal at this restaurant! We ordered the mixed grill plate and a chicken shawarma plate — both were packed with flavor. The chicken shawarma especially stood out with its rich, tangy touch of pomegranate molasses, which added a perfect sweet and sour balance. The meat was tender and juicy, and every bite was full of taste.

To top it off, they offered us a serving of Halawet El Jibin, a traditional sweet that was absolutely delicious — soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness.

You HAVE to go there!!! Amazing hidden syrian cuisine in Heidelberg: we totally recommend it! We went there to try the food and we ordered baba ghanoush for starter, shish tawouk grilled meat on syrian bread with hot potatoes and kebbah labneyah for the main with Kurkuma rice. The kebbah labneyah especially was heavenly but all the food was great. The service is amazing and people are friendly.
