Cafe Da Serio — Restaurant in Karlsruhe

Come here for the snacks or coffee. Only tried two dishes and was not impressed by the scrambled eggs on my pasta carbonara (the egg wasn’t prepared properly).

A good variety of snacks and goodies, but mostly if you’re just looking to sit somewhere with a friend. Cozy little outside area out front, shaded, but a bit hectic on the side with people constantly walking close to your table.

Their menu specials seem to vary often. I’d be down to coming back and giving the place another try. Lunch is served daily from 12 to 15/3PM.

Some options also seem to be a available for takeout...

If you’re looking for an Italian coffee place in that area you probably have found it. They serve Saquella Espresso from Napoli. Not cheap as in Berlin, but fine for this city. Admittedly the taste could be optimized. But that’s baristas geek talk. Interior a bit ordinary and I’m missing signs of their history. 40 years in business could look different. ich bin wirklich enttäuscht von meinem letzten Erlebnis in Ihrem Café. Ich hatte es meinen Eltern empfohlen, die extra aus Italien zu Besuch gekommen sind – in der Hoffnung, ihnen ein schönes Frühstück zu ermöglichen.

Leider war das Gegenteil der Fall: Sie haben bei Ihnen gefrühstückt und sich ein süßes Gebäck mitgenommen, das offenbar nicht frisch war. Es machte den Eindruck, als hätte es schon mehrere Tage dort gelegen. Beide hatten daraufhin den ganzen Tag über starke Magenprobleme.

Ich frage mich ehrlich: Wie kann so etwas passieren? Und wie kann man als Café, das italienische Qualität und Gastfreundschaft repräsentieren möchte, so etwas...
