This place is great, if you are into Mexican food like me. I am talking about authentic Mexican food. Here at La Enchilada you get authentic Mexican food as I was told by my Mexican friends. So I guess they should know that better than anyone else.
If you are lucky and the weather is pleasant I recommend to sit outside in the patio while enjoying your meal.
We had delicious Enchiladas de Maiz con Pollo, which is cheese-topped chicken corn tortillas with bean cream and salad as well as the Enchiladas Combinadas, which is a cheese-topped chicken corn tortilla, a wheat tortilla with chili con carne filling and a wheat tortilla with vegetables filling served with rice, salad and salsa. So if you are more the type of person who need variety, choose the latter. Though this mentioning is relative, I would say that these enchiladas are not super-hot but also not totally mild. So it is something in between.
The staff is very friendly and also speak English. The prices are reasonable and you get much for your money. The opening hours are also nice since it closes weekdays at 01:00 am and on Fridays and Saturdays at 02:00 am. The only thing is that on weekdays La Enchilada opens late, not before 17:00 (05 pm) but at least on Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 (noon).

Read moreCame with a group for food & drinks for first time, on Sunday 27.07. at 20:50. We did not know the kitchen closes at 21:00, and were busy so unfortunately could not come earlier. So the situation was not ideal, but it happens, and asking us to order quickly is totally fine. What is not fine however, is for the waiter to make a passive agressive comment "The chef is really gonna like it that so many of you came to order so late." And then proceed to make 2 more comments like that in a snarky tone. You can be nice & professional and say "Hey, we are excited to have you here, but kitchen is almost closed, this & this dish is the easiest for the chef to make, which means you will also get it fast." We are more than happy to cooperate, we did not come to make you miserable. Or have a seperate "last seating to order food" and "kitchen closing" times. Working a Sunday evening shift is difficult, I get that, but just because the waiter is unhappy, there was no need to try to make us unhappy as well. But mission accomplished on his part, my experience of your concept was ruined. On the bright note, my bowl was tasty and the kiwi lemonade is super...
