Went here for a birthday dinner - underwhelming dishes, super slow service plus rude service to boot. We all agreed that we won't be coming here again and I will definitely tell all of my English-speaking expat friends to totally avoid this place and mention on online groups not to come here. The waitress was so rude over something so darn trivial. So much for the notion that the customer is always right - ha. We respectfully complained about a drink being extremely bland (a drink mind you, not even a meal) and she got such a nasty attitude about it, as if to say, "This just cannot be. You're crazy. All our customers love this drink!" When it was time to pay she made this big deal about how she was doing us this giant favor by taking it off the check only because it was a birthday dinner. We were shocked but also amused at the ridiculousness of it all. Seriously, come on, lady, this is a Mango Lassi we're talking about here. The whole experience was downright embarrassing for us to have to endure and super uncomfortable. I swear that she was glaring at us as we left. As I mentioned, the food itself was rather underwhelming. One of us couldn't even finish it because it really was so mediocre. I ordered tempura and it was decent but I've lived in Japan for years so nothing outside Japan compares to the real thing. The price is reasonable and the presentation was good. However, the nasty attitude of the server left such a sour taste in our mouths. I have worked as a waitress and the idea of the waitress arguing with the customer is distasteful and bad for business. You should never argue with a customer! Simply take it back to the kitchen, perhaps offer a new drink on the house and take it off the check. End of story. Otherwise you will have an unhappy customer who will never, ever come back and tell all their expat friends to avoid the place. Bummer that it was such a total disappointment of a birthday dinner. We usually love Vietnamese and Vegan food so we were hoping for a...
Read moreAs someone who comes out of Germany: Ordered wanton soup (which was tiny, but okish even not that full with flavors) and Korean glass noodles (which were a big dish, with lots of tofu, but the noodles themselves were like a slime, sticky and tasteless. As the whole dish was missing flavors. At first I thought I should mix it with the sauce, but even doing so didn't help much. Fried tofu in the dish was very good though.)
Food came very fast. And waiter was polite. However, i didn't like not to be serve or offered a glass of water when not ordering drinks, AND didn't appreciate the check situation - which instead of receiving a note that describes the costs, the waiter stands above you and just say how much is it, and when you hand him cash(they didn't take card), he asks (in front of other people at the table) how much he should bring you back, as if tip is mandatory, and everyone need to hear how...

We were there tonight. We're tourists for the weekend in Leipzig. We went to Gao at 10 PM because it seemed nice and it said on Google "Closes at 11 PM" but as we arrived : the waiters were sitting in the entrance and seemed mad about us coming to eat, since there were a lot of dish choices on the menu, we didn't already know what to drink first as the (rude) waiter came to us, so he went away with a very annoyed attitude as soon as we finished our plates (at least the meal was good) they took them away without giving us time to rest, of course after this we wanted to go straight away, so we asked to pay and the waitress we asked it to was leaving so she told her colleague to make us pay but they never came as we FINALLY got them to come by showing them that we couldn't stay more (because of their rude attitude) a waitress came and made us pay but didn't even...
