Restaurant Gautor Korea — Restaurant in Mainz

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gautor Korea where I started my meal with the stir fried kimchi pork belly, and cold cucumber soup which delicious and was cooked to perfection.

The cold cucumber soup has a refreshing tangy broth that’s nothing I’ve tasted before, it’s good. The pork was tender and juicy, and the kimchi was flavorful and spicy. Just be mindful that kimchi flavor maybe a bit salty for some people. The side dishes/pickles were also very flavorful.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the décor is simple but stylish.

Overall, I had a great experience at Gautor Korea. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Korean...

Me and my family come here quite often, the food always tastes the same, its really delicious. We usually order the kimchi pork belly and bim bim bap, this time we also went for some soup. You get kimchi or soybean soup as a appetizer for free. You also get some side dishes to eat with your meal. The prices are very good for the amount and quality you get. I highly recommend the kimchi pork belly, its a bit spicy but the rice equals the spice out and the bim bim bap, you decide how spicy that is yourself as you get soy sauce and...

Ich war zum ersten mal hier, und leider bin ich wriklich schwer enttäuscht.

Bei dem Preis-Niveau hatte ich berechtigte Erwartungen, und bestellte das

Bul-Gogi Deop-Bab Scheiben vom Roastbeef mariniert und gebraten mit feinen koreanischen Gewürzen, geriebenen Birnen und Kräutersailingen,

corona-bedingt zum abholen. Ich war wie vereinbart pünktlich, und mein Essen stand auch schon da. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich!

Als ich zuhause ankam, ca 3min Fußweg, bekam ich absolut trockenes Fleisch, mit fast keiner Soße, und trockenem Reis. Man darf feststellen, das mein Essen sehr trocken war ^^ und fast keinen Geschmack hatte.

Immerhin hatte ich eine Anmutung der Gewürze. Ausserdem glaube ich matchige Zucchini, Zwiebeln, und frische Champignons in meinem Gericht gefunden zu haben. Und trockenes Fleisch natürlich. Hatte also relativ wenig bis fast gar nichts mit dem bezahlten Gericht zu tun. Und ich glaube zu wissen was Zwiebeln sind. Das Beste war der Reis. Der war wirklich gut.

Mir tut die Gastro-Szene wirklich sehr leid im Moment, desto mehr denke ich, das man sich um die Kundschaft bemühen sollte.

Das Gericht, zu dem Preis, so zu servieren, finde ich ehrlich gesagt eine Frechheit. Ich esse gut und sehr gerne asiatisch, werde aber aufgrund des Preis-Niveaus diesem Lokal keine Chance mehr geben wollen.

Es gibt genügend gute Adressen in Mainz, die auch noch günstiger sind, und mich noch nie enttäuscht haben, wie z.B. Asia Family, Niko Niko Tei, Mosch Mosch, Hoa Mai, Hoi An QT, Hanoi und An o Ban, oder auch Thai Country.

Gautor Korea konnte da leider nicht ansatzweise mithalten. Schade für alle...
