The hotel is in a great location (proximity to city center and train station), clean, and friendly. The staff at the front desk is just wonderful. However, a few things made our stay definitely less enjoyable than it could have been. First, the room doors are in urgent need of adjustment. Room doors slam shut (for fire safety) in a way the entire floor shakes and if someone decides to leave their room, inhabitants of adjacent rooms are guaranteed to know about it. It should not be that difficult to adjust the doors so that they close more slowly/quietly. They call it boutique hotel which in this context really means party hotel. Guests are blasting music in their rooms and frequent 'after-work' parties in the lobby (2 out of 4 nights). Rooms have an awkward layout. Like other reviewers mentioned, the bed is pushed against the wall and so one person has to climb out of bed to get out. Mattresses are hard and not very comfy, no phones to connect with the reception in the rooms. The rooms get very hot (even though it wasn't that hot outside) and the airvents (no AC) are 'centrally regulated' (read: it doesn't come on when you want it). The cleaning personal repeatedly just entered the room without announcing themselves first (e.g. by knocking). There is no real place to work, neither inside nor outside the room. Overall the hotel is more focused on creating a hip and stylish party atmosphere than on hospitality and the comfort of the guests. If you want to go partying in Mainz, the atmosphere and proximity to the train station and the city center make this hotel a great choice. However, if you are looking for a hotel for professionals this is not the...
Read moreThe hotel in Mainz offers several impressive qualities. Its location is highly convenient, just a three-to-four-minute walk from Mainz train station, making it an excellent choice for travelers. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, particularly when train disruptions due to construction halted service to the airport. One staff member took considerable time to help advise the best alternative routes, and their assistance was greatly appreciated. The room was comfortably spacious, and the mini bar, stocked with two complimentary bottles of water and a soda, was a thoughtful touch. Notably, the shower water pressure was excellent, standing out as the only hotel among the four I stayed at in Germany with consistently strong water pressure.|While the stay was largely positive, there was one minor drawback. The room lacked a kettle and coffee-making facilities, which, while not a significant issue for our one-night stay, might inconvenience guests who prefer in-room hot beverages.|In conclusion, the hotel’s prime location, attentive staff, spacious accommodations, and impressive shower quality make it a strong choice for visitors to Mainz. The absence of coffee-making facilities is a minor oversight that does little to detract from an otherwise...
Read moreA very neat and new hotel with friendly staff! Whist booking I was surprised the hotel actually just opened on the 10th! The styling clue is pretty modern and trendy with a touch of retro, it actually reminds me of Hoxton group hotel. Since everything is brand new you would expect pretty much top tier cleanness. The room size itself is OK not big but certainly not small.
The utilities is spot on with apple TV option on TV and an individual soundbar. The sound bar works fine however the subwoofer didn't. The room also Comes with electric shutter blind outside on top of curtains and voile.
Things is missing like a toothpaste but weirdly it has a box of tools with mouthwash and body cream that is also a nice touch.
If you like to drink and chill the lounge downstairs might be your thing, With DJ tables and a open bar.
Would be nice if a free bottle of water is included!
Overall staff is friendly and spontaneous wouldn't hesitate to help as long as you ask for it.
There is also a carpark next to it for 18 euros a day would recommend if you come with a family or decide to park long here. Otherwise the parking...
