BORI — Restaurant in Mannheim

One of the best Korean restaurant we have ever come across.

To start, the drinks were amazing, they serve Korean drinks that are not common to find in Europe. It was really delicious as well.

We ordered the toppokki as a starter and it was really delicious. We especially love the fried sweet potato added to it which complements the delicious sweet and spicy sauce.

The main course was also on another level. Both the bibimbap and bulgogi were especially delicious. The dishes were simple comfort foods done perfectly.

We had kimchi, tofu, and salad as our side dishes. The kimchi was really flavorful and the kind waitress told us how to eat it together with the tofu.

Sadly, they do not have a dessert menu. In overall, we will definitely be back. And as a side note, do not forget...

Why are you rude? We love the food you cook and want to visit but you make us feel so unwanted by the way you speak & by your reviews i can tell that you do it only to foreigners but you you are one yourself Also ofc it is absolutely your choice to filter but you do it on unfair basis because as a restaurant you should give service of food to people who pay and give reservations to ones who call on any next validity.

if you want to be picky on people, please don’t term it as a restaurant, make a community, it’s a different business model. Then others won’t disturb.

Nobody will come and eat at your place for free. Please be kind, I don’t think i did anything to deserve that...

Very disappointed in how they treated Americans. I called to see if they accepted walk ins or if I needed to make a reservation.

I do I courtesy check to make sure English is okay. Once I asked (it’s a habit) she said no very rudely and hung up.

Just 15 mins prior to this happening, my friend called to verify that they were open this same lady’s English was just fine.

This could have been an isolated incident but I engage with customers all of the time so it’s hard for me to understand the premise of this situation.

Overall I would have loved to try the food as my grandmother is Korean but due to this mistreatment I will have to find another...
