Café Flo — Restaurant in Mannheim

While we frequent this place regularly and are quite happy with the overall performance, for the second time we witnessed a heated argument last night between a waiter and guests.

The waiter, an elderly staunch bloke shouted in a loud voice at a group of 2 young ladies in their early twenties and their male companons of roughly the same age, seated outdoors and smokingi. It seems one of the ladies had thrown a cigarette butt on the street and the waiter expressed his displeasure in a very indignant if not audacious manner, telling the group they were not welcome any further and should seek an outing spot somewhere else.

While the 2 guys kept quiet the ladies gave the unruly waiter quite a scolding, complaining about slow service, a dirty table and full ashtrays left by previous guests as well as the fact that the waiter had served their wine glasses most unprofessionally by grabbing them from the top, with his fingers blatantly holding on to the rim of the glasses, leaving greasy fingerprints behind.

I recently visited the French bistro near Mannheim Wasserturm, and it was an absolute gem! The ambiance was truly enchanting, transporting us to old French-style charm—just like the movie John Wick. It's the perfect spot for a friends night out, and the fact that they accept card payments is a big plus.

It was the first and last time I went to this restaurant/cafe. what attracted us was the architecture of the place and the view, but the rest is terrible. It took 10min for a waitress to offer us the menu... we placed the order no one told us that one of the orders (gratin) was not available... we only found out there was no gratin when the other dishes arrived at the table. The food is clearly not fresh or made on site, it must be canned. I couldn't even finish eating, I was disgusted and afraid of intoxication. This restaurant/cafe is a horror and an insult to...
