I was at the McDonald's Mannheim hbf branch by 13:25 and placed an order for a McSmart Menu (chickenburger, Ketchup and a fanta). This order was placed at exactly 13:28:44. I know this because I kept the receipt. I paid cash (€5 note and €2 coin and a change of €1.10 was given to me with a receipt of order). I didn't even noticed the lady at the counter gave me €1.10 instead of €1.01 as on the receipt until she called her colleague and they called to tell me that I hadn't paid. I explained to them that there was no way that I will have a receipt and change which was still in my hands if I didn't paid. The colleague took the cash box out, went to check, came back and also said I hadn't paid. At this point I was already fuming because once again, how do I have in my hands a receipt with waiting number 189 if I hadn't paid. I insisted because that is my truth. The lady who initially attended to me called me to the side and sid to me verbatim that I did not pay and that I moved behind the counter to forge payment and receipt whilst she was standing at the drink section. I asked her if they had camera's so we could check and confirm who was right, because how are there two people at the cashier point and a customer goes behind that stand to forge payment and receipt and no one, absolutely no one, not even the other customers present there could raise an alarm. Her colleague came back to show her a sheet again as she did earlier when she initially checked the cash records. At this point they suddenly brought me a cup of Fanta and made ready my order. This time round, the story was that I did not pay, but I should take the food and go and that she(the lady that attended to me initially) was paying for my meal. It was at this point that I got pissed and insisted I wasn't taking the food until they confirm with evidence that i had paid. I also told them that I had enough time to wait so they should attend to the others and when they were done, we will talk about it. She kept saying that she was paying for me and I should take the food. I refused and they decided to refund my money to which I gave them back the €1.10 given to me earlier and did not take the order. I choose to keep the receipt because I needed proof. This treatment is not something that should be tolerated anywhere. The worse part was that the ladies were laughing whilst trying to give me the food, faking an apology. I don't know their names but it was the two Asian women usually behind the counter. If this is how you operate there then I am appalled, because how do you accuse someone of something with no proof. We wanted vegetarian burgers (usually other Mc Donalds have Mc Plant options) and they didn't have any vegetarian options. Even though to check my husband asked at the counter do they have Vegetarian Options, the indianady taking the order said no we don't however the indian old man who also works there said for vegetarian burgers we need to go to India. What kind of remark is that? Just because we are Indian you can say such an answer to a customer in a sarcastic manner. My husband at the time said okay and we left. Then a min or two later our friends said that was a bad response we should say something to them. My husband went there again to just say that when he asked about the veg options the response that old man gave, he didn't like it, instead of apologising he said a simple "okay" and that he was only joking didn't even bother Apologising. So my husband said okay then I will complain about this to Mc donalds because dealing with a German customer he would have never said this that go to India for veg burgers but to us he said , he should treat every customer equal. Then he also said go call the police, what will you do. We said okay we will see what we will do and left. Honestly I never write reviews and I would say the experience was so bad I ended up writing it and that so people who are going know they are the worst people with the worst customer service and the worst Mc donalds menu. So save yourself time don't go there to have a bad day where you end up having a fight with the staff.
