i was super excited to try this place based on reviews. i arrived and was told you needed a reservation for brunch. that sucked but what can you do? after sweet talking the nice waitress, she gave me a window seat but said i had a half hour before the next reservation arrived. no worries. i can eat fast.
the ambience was lovely. pink velvet chairs and crystal chandeliers are a nice touch. but you can't rely on ambience alone. your food has to be just as good and based on others' reviews, i thought it would be.
my smoothie was bottled. i expected a fresh one based on the price. they also gave me the wrong flavor. my croissant was half frozen, half hot. did somebody forget to thaw them? the butter and jam were good but pricey for the small portion.
onto the eggs: i ordered them sunny side up. now, i am used to properly cooked fried eggs, which run when you break the yolk. these were overcooked and barely edible. the yolks were not runny and the whites were burnt on the underside. i had two bites before i pushed the plate away. i let the waitress know when she arrived to take my plate that my eggs were subpar. i still paid the full price on a barely edible meal. it's too bad as the place was lovely. so the stars are for...

We had reserved a table beforehand but the staff wasn't able to remember our reservation. After waiting for a while we were able to order our drinks which did not arrive anytime soon. After ordering our food we were waiting nearly an hour for our order - we were four people - a cheap looking breakfast plate arrived. The vegetarian breakfast plate and the Italian style one looked nearly identical - the main difference being an extra slice of bacon and to slices of tomato and mozzarella. The bread rolls were warm but tasted like the "bake at home" options from your local discounter. The two slices of salami weren't anything to write home about either. The interior of the cafe was mainly of pink color, which is a question of taste, but didn't look cheap. The final nail in the coffin was a sick child, obviously with the staff, that was running and coughing around the cafe.
Read moreReally nice decor, definitely a girl‘s dream cafe just because of the low-key pink tone that resembles more of sophisticated shade of rose/salmon. Comfy armchair was definitely a plus. On a sunny day the seats by the window has a really nice feeling to it. Also there’s free WiFi so it‘s readily available if you wanna get some work done on your laptop, although most people would choose to come here with friends to chat and enjoy some social time. Foodwise, the bagel was quite good, so was the apple pie. Oh, and someone already mentioned in the review that the bathroom has such a girl-friendly set up that you can use the complimentary products in times of...
