Augusten Hotel München — Hotel in Munich

The room itself was great, we came in December so we didn’t have to worry about the AC the heat works fine. They don’t clean well we arrived there were snacks left in the cupboard that were open. ||Staff: the gentleman at the breakfast place was always nice and pleasant. The front desk the bald guy was a mess he wouldn’t help me find a place that I was looking for, he didn’t even try to help he just said he didn’t know like three times I DONT KNOW, very rude at that point I was so close on leaving this hotel I mean we are paying over $200 dollars a night here and he couldn’t help find a location for me? The maids are the same way they don’t say hello and they seem so put off when you ask them for anything.||The internet it terrible here when I asked him about the internet he just said that’s how it is.||Other than that the beds were good, the size of the room is good so love...

This is a great little hotel, yet another great Rick Steves recommendation! Is spotlessly clean, the beds are very comfortable, and it is in a great location - everything is about a 15 minute walk away, from Marienplatz to the museum district, and it is about a 5 minute walk to the main train station, much less to public transport. Great non -touristy street. Grocery store is around the corner, as are several pharmacies. Was a great deal for a family as well. Very friendly staff, and the hotel has a great "old Europe" feel to it (but is very modern - it's hard to explain; you'd know what I mean if you travelled in Europe in the 80s/90s). Only downside is that it is right beside the tram/streetcar tracks, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. ...

Good and clean hotel in a convenient location. A short walk to the main train station or one could use the tram. The room was small but not too bad. There is no kettle to make tea. No complementary tea/coffee either. There are a couple of English news channels on tv which was good. The staff were polite and nice. Did not try their buffet breakfast as i thought it was a bit pricey for their offering. The room we got was hot most of the time and the air-conditioning kept defaulting to 25 degrees every hour or so. I had to keep reducing the temperature manually each time to 23 degrees which got really annoying. Tiny fridge but I really didn't have any use with it so it...
