I had two very disappointing experiences at this restaurant.
First visit: I paid 17 EUR (by card in euros), but later the owner came back and said she had forgotten to charge me 4 euros for a juice. Since the extra 4 euros didn’t meet the 10-euro minimum for card payments, she insisted I pay through WeChat in Chinese yuan. I didn’t have much left in my WeChat balance, but I still paid even down to 0.47 RMB, because she didn’t give me any change. She didn’t apologize or even say thank you. It was her mistake, yet she acted as if it was my fault. That felt extremely rude and unprofessional. If I were the owner, I wouldn’t have asked a customer to fix such a small error out of their own pocket.
Second visit: I waited a long time after being seated, but no staff came to take my order. Meanwhile, another table that arrived later was immediately served and had their order taken right away. I felt ignored and disrespected. It was very frustrating and showed a clear lack of consistency in their service.
Food quality: I ordered a beef noodle soup, which looked okay in the photo, but unfortunately it tasted bland and disappointing. The broth lacked depth, the beef was tough. The noodles themselves were soggy and lacked texture. Definitely not worth the price.
These are the only two times I visited this restaurant. Unfortunately, after these experiences, I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I can’t relate to the good comments. All I experienced was poor service, bad attitude, and below-average food. won’t be...
Read moreMy coworkers and I tried this noodle shop not long after their opening. We all ordered their signature beef noodle soup with wide noodles. The noodles we found to be rather mid, too soft and easily broken as if it's cooked for too long. The soup tasted to us also pretty plain, just ok, heavy in msg (msg is fine but too much is too much). The price is definitely ok for lunch, but for this very very mid noodle soup tho. I will come back and try their thin noodles in case those are very different, and if they are better I will update my rating.
The service was fast and courteous, the shop is small but cozy and actually has a decent...
Read moreMian&Co is the sister shop to the next door Fan Restaurant, but offers simple yet tasty hand-pulled noodles in authentic Chinese style. A few years ago, there was only one hand-pulled noodles restaurant in Munich and a handful across Germany. Who could have thought that now in this neighborhood there are already three and around 10 hand-pulled noodle restaurants in Munich. Mian&Co has only a few iconic flavors to choose from, but interestingly one can choose how thin or wide the noodles are, something common in China but uncommon here. The portions are huge and...
