If you enjoy sweetbreads (the meat, not the bread from Trinidad) and parts of the whole animal cooked up Bavarian style, then this is a spot for you! Sadly I learned this after I left, or I would have ordered more than a glass of wine, a pretzel and apple fritters! They have such a lovely outdoor area that sits right in the middle of the city center that we popped in for a snack and some drinks before dinner. Wheat is the specialty beer here, and since I am not a beer drinker and didn’t try more than a few sips for research purposes, I have no real review. I will say that the depth of flavor is distinctly different to any other beer I have had and if you are a beer connoisseur you should try a few. Not a beer drinker, have a glass of Riesling, I did and it was lovely. I also enjoyed a glass of cider, no matter where I went I ordered one because it's really crisp and delicious like you are biting an apple! I wish I had time to get some at the grocery store, I would have packed my suitcase full! Try the Apple Fritters, they are baked in beer dough covered with cinnamon sugar, served with vanilla ice-cream. Despite having sugar, they were not overly sweet. Ice cream here doesn’t upset my stomach, so I indulged in that as well. If you go during Oktoberfest, the service will be a bit slow, especially if you arrive during a shift change, just enjoy that extra time with your friends and family, nobody is really in a rush. Tourist Foodie Tip~If you are going during Oktoberfest, make sure you ask to see the special menu if it isn’t on the table and there is no QR code for an English option. Travel Romance Tip~This is a great spot for a date if you meet someone and they invite you out, it’s well lit and full of people! If they start acting up don’t be unnerved, keep an empty beer stein on the table and enjoy the night! Unnerved Traveler

This famous beer house is really really busy, I start by mentioning this instead of diving into their food so that no travelers will go disappointed. If you have any party over 2 people, please call ahead and make reservations. It will save a lot of grief. Despite this place being a very large venue, the number of visitors far exceeds the space available VERY often. On the night of our visit there were 16 parties standing in line nearly out the door waiting for seatings. Mostly parties of 3-4 or more. After standing in line for 1/2 hour the manager on the floor ended up asking all parties to leave since they were at full capacity. Don't let this be you! For the parties of 2, they will basically ask you to buddy up with existing tables (which seat 6-8) which is fine since that is the atmosphere of a beer house anyway. The selection of beers is great. Highly recommend the high alcohol and hoppy choices on the menu (despite not being IPA) that are not available state side as opposed to regular lagers. I have included a beer menu also for those interested in knowing before sitting down. Before arriving here we have already tried 4 other bier haus, always ordering the roast meats and sausages for fair comparison. The food is very good at this place, and that meant more roast meat dishes / sausages to keep to the theme and they were all very flavorful. I highly recommend the roast pork bellies and suckling pig. All the fat dripped off in their prep process, which is very nice, since you are left with mostly lean juicy meat with good flavor and nice crispy skin. On top of this they provide you with a side of au jus that is umami in the purest form. As Schneider brauhaus puts it on their Moto: "jetzt"! Meaning "now!", don't think about it, or say maybe late. Just drink, eat, and enjoy the good company around you.

I spent my first time in Munich with my family and today is our last day. I would say congratulations to this place because I have completely frustrated by the service of the restaurant. (The waitress who take care our table cursing us that ‘WE HAVE NO MONEY’) First of all I wanna say the food was amazing. The pork knuckle is crispy and cooked well. Other dishes also nice. We really enjoy our food and have a good time. However, everything has ruined by one of the waitress who takes care of our table. She keep saying things ironically, and make us feeling unwelcome. At first I haven’t notice that there are something wrong with her because I was trying my best not to make mistakes due to the different cultures (I’m Asian but at least this is not my first time in Germany or European countries so I quite know the manner). I was shocking by what she said and this is my first time facing situations like this. At that time we just finished eating and decided to have some dessert. I called her (as there is no choice for me to call someone else because she is the person who takes care of my table) and asked for apple strudel and Bavarian cream. She replied to me that “there’s no Bavarian cream”. I further asked her that “did you mean it is sold out or the Bavarian cream has no longer on the menu?”, then she replied ironically “it sold out! So that’s why I told you that we have no Bavarian cream.” I don’t know that it is my fault or not, because that “no Bavarian cream” is like a pun, I just ask to make it clear and that’s it! After knowing there is no Bavarian cream whatsoever, she said that she will let us think about what we gonna order for the dessert. After taking a few minutes we just decided not to have dessert and pay the bill right away. So, again, call that waitress, we ask for the bill and she said “So you don’t want the dessert right? I ordered it already! That’s okay I pay for you. Because I know you DON’T HAVE MONEY”. I was like WOAH and everyone at the table was shocked by the way she said that. I was confused that she said to let me think about what to order and leave me to do something else. Then she came back and said ‘I ordered this for you’ , I am about to accept the dessert but after she cursing us that ‘we have no money’ I think it is about time to leaving this restaurant. Our bill is €127 something, that never been edited or cancelled that apple strudel (if the order of strudel was placed, it should be written down in the bill). I have no idea that she might fatigue from her workload or she just facing a bad day or maybe she just on her pms. But why she treat us like that, I swear that the conversation between us before this happened is the friendliest conversation I’ve had. I trying to be nice to all service people because it is a good thing to do. I didn’t blame on the restaurant because not everyone who’s acting like that waitress. The food is amazing, but we just unlucky to have that waitress serving us. This is my first review and I never thought that I would write this review. I can’t let this pass. I just want everyone who wants to eat at this restaurant knows that if you want to eat a delicious food, you should try but better to avoid sitting at the very back of the restaurant, or it could change your mood for the entire day. Well if that waitress seeing this review I just want to let you know that I never want the splendid, fantastic, unforgettable service from you. Just only at least, “AT LEAST” treating your customers as they respect you. Also if you tired from work, better need some rest to at least cooldown your mental and emotions. Sorry for the rating, what she treat us is so unacceptable. I try to be polite but she never gave us that word. Yha ma geng gub gu ka e pla thong

We experienced extremely rude service at the door and poor service overall (practically no service at the table apart from simply bringing food and leaving it). We walked in with a one-year-old and, despite the cold weather, queued at the door for a seat where we could have some space for the baby. Initially, a female staff member attended to us, but shortly after, a male staff member completely ignored us, instead addressing and seating a white male customer who arrived after us. Despite us clearly being ahead in the queue, the male staff then turned to ask how many people were in our party, raising concerns about possible racial bias. When we were finally seated, the male staff directed us to our table with a visibly impatient attitude. I asked if there was a baby seat available, to which he curtly replied that they had only five baby seats and it was a busy restaurant. As I hesitated, unsure how a one-year-old could sit safely without a baby seat, he rudely shouted at my mother—who was moving a stroller to make space for others—as if we were being unreasonable. Not speaking German isn’t our fault, but shouting instructions in German without making an effort to assist guests who clearly don’t understand is unprofessional and disrespectful. We’re from London, and it’s unclear why the staff assumed we wouldn’t understand or communicate in another language. At the table, there was no real service to speak of—a stark contrast to Hofbräuhaus, which is larger and much busier yet still manages to provide excellent service. For example: • My mother ordered hot water, which was charged €3.90 as “tea.” • When I asked if they could warm up baby food, they responded dismissively and said no. Additionally, the restaurant is completely unsuitable for families with young children and maybe also unfriendly to Asian guests (❗️). There is no baby-changing facility in the toilets—not even in the accessible toilet—and the staff showed no empathy or understanding for a woman bringing a young baby.

we had a very bad experience there! employees were cold, when we stepped in,there's no people service us,so we went to upstairs and asked one staff whether we can sit there, she replied yes,but five mins later, another staff came and asked us to go down:( when we settled down again,we waited around ten mins,no people offer us any services,so one of my friend went to find someone and ask for the menu, then she was complained by the staff——u shouldn't come to us directly,it's not nice,u'd better sit there and wait us⋯⋯⋯well,ok,we are too hunger to wait for your long-waiting services finally we got ordered with cold face and non-speaking English service。then the staff just throwed a plate of bread, and told us「2 euros」,ok,we will pay for that for sure the dishes came really late, because we want to share our dishes,so we asked for two more dishes, after like one century's waiting, she came to us,told us 「one euro per plate」well, first to know this kind of business, but ok,we will pay without doubt,i dont know why she still showed bad manner, and easy to be angered staffs always ignoring clients, but if you wave hands or ask them when they serving people next to yout table, they will shouted at u or just waved their hands with impatient faces which made us feel so bad⋯⋯⋯⋯ wont come again !and hope other guests can see my post and avoid to spend money here!

I went here twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. I had a great experience in both visits. While I am of no authority in determining the authenticity of German food, I do think that all the food items served here were fresh and delicious. During our dinner, our party ordered the Obazda (German soft cheese & butter mix), Spanferkelbraten (Roast suckling pig with beer braise sauce and potato knödel), Schweinshaxe (Pork knuckle), Metzgerplatte (butcher’s plate — assortment of different sausages), and Aventinus Bierbratl (crispy braised pork belly in an Aventinus-based sauce). I also ordered their Aventinus beer. All the food were served warm and fresh. All the meat items were tender and all sauces served was were delicious. Aventinus is a pretty strong beer and was a nice welcome to Munich for me personally. I came back a few days later for a breakfast of weißwurst (Bavarian boiled white sausages), pretzels, and a drink of apfelschörle (apple juice and sparkling water). The sausage was tasty, pretzel was great, the sweet mustard was wonderful, and the apfelschörle was very refreshing. For the pretzels, you only pay for the amount that you take into your plate. All in all, I had great experiences here.
