Great choices in their various buffet options of hot and cold dishes. Fresh well prepared and reasonable costs depending on how much you want to eat. Their spicy chicken wings are terrific and truly spicy. Amazing food cakes and drink selection as well. Also Asian and seafood options. I have eaten here three times for lunch and pleased every time except for one consistent problem. The staff can be, especially the cashiers, rude to their international customers who may not understand the system of weighing food on the scale and when to remove the plate. Zero customer service skills. When one staff person barked I could not take pictures of the food displays I explained I wanted to show my friend shopping in the store to come up to the 5th floor to eat. He insisted I could not. I basically told him to mind his own business and kept taking photos. Is there a manager in this place? That cost them a star in my rating.

Keine Kundendienstfähigkeiten. Als eine Person des Personals bellte, konnte ich die Lebensmittelanzeigen nicht fotografieren. Ich erklärte, ich wollte meinem Freund zeigen, wie er im Laden einkauft, um in den 5. Stock zu kommen und zu essen. Er bestand darauf, dass ich nicht konnte. Rude, aggressive and racist security guard with tag number 8616 ruined our Galeria experience and ensured that we will never return despite previously being very regular customers. While putting jackets on our children before leaving the building, he curtly told us to stop blocking the way despite there being no other customers around. We agreed to move if anyone passed by, but that was not enough for him. As we continued dressing our children in order to leave asap, he got louder and more abusive and was unrelenting in his vitriol. At this point, I was shocked and confused about why he would behave this way to customers, and especially so unkindly to mothers with young children.

It was not until the manager was called that the racial motivations behind his behaviour were revealed. Following further unprovoked insults to us, he eventually pointed at me and said ‘I know what type of people you are from where you come from’. Considering that my nationality was never brought up, I was surprised he could make such an unpleasant allegation with so much confidence. When pressed on where he thought I was from, he backtracked, claimed he ‘never said you are racist’ and eventually gave a half-hearted apology along the lines of ‘if you think that’s what I said then I’m sorry’.

I sadly had an absolutely terrible and traumatising experience here at Galeria this past weekend during Oktoberfest. My friend and I (both 22 female tourists travelling) were leaving the store holding our own personal clothing items when we were approached by a strange middle aged man outside the store. He proceeded to yell at us in German, we were scared and confused so tried to ignore him. This made him angry so he physically grabbed me and my friends arms very aggressively. We tried to run away but he continued to get more aggressive, and chased us down, pushing my friend into a wall and unfortunately causing her to have to physically defend herself against the attacker. Terrified, we ran into a crowd of people calling for help, when a nice woman stepped in and began to translate. We then found out that the aggressive man was a security guard for the Galeria store (not dressed in any type of uniform) and claimed he thought we stole items from the store. Obviously this was not the case, and luckily for us the woman was able to deescalate the situation, without her help there’s no telling how far he would have gone with his violent behaviour. We received no apology at all once he learned he was in the wrong. This caused us immense anxiety as we are two young girls travelling in a foreign country. It’s unfortunate that such a horrible event occurred on a weekend that is meant to be celebrated. If you are visiting the area please be careful of the staff...
