VOLLATHS — Restaurant in Munich

It is a great place! First of all, waiters speak English we had zero problem to order. They asked several times whether everything is alright which is really kind of them. Secondly, I try different cafés in Munich to find the best coffee, currently for Cappuccino they are the best! Also for the cakes, they have really a lot of options. I am not a big fan of German style cakes with fruits but they also have brownies! A nice improvement would be maybe increasing the amount of cakes with chocolate for people who doesn't like too much fruity cakes:). Also, we received a different cake than we ordered and wanted to change it, they changed it without any problem. I specifically state that because I have seen cafes that are popular but not customer friendly at all. This place is the opposite! For teas, they do it fresh instead of tea bags, which is something I don't see a lot in other cafes:) The ambiance of the place is also quite nice, just on the corner with big windows to see around while enjoying nice coffee :) Overall, currently my favorite coffee destination! Don’t recommend this place, we had a reservation for 9:30, we got the table for 3 people near the door in Dizzy Daisy. The door was all the time opened and closed, which is annoying and cold. I had to squeeze myself all the time as there wasn’t enough space. Since the Dizzy Daisy has no kitchen, the food and drinks were brought cold from the Vollaths. The food itself was fine, but the temperature made the difference. Cold coffee and cold Shakshuka are not so nice when you actually want to warm up. The service was quick but not very friendly. As we finished our food and drinks, we were told to either order smth or leave the place, as there were more people coming. (It was only 11am and we wanted to spend a bit more time there!) Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!!!!! As soon as we arrived one of the waiters told us to go with him to the other side of the restaurant because “our table” was there and I told him if he was taking us to the dizzy daisy restaurant (which I read in other reviews that this has happened to them as well, they own both places) and he was acting super weird and suspicious and said that our table was at the dizzy daisy place and kept walking! I stopped him and told him that I specifically wrote on my reservation that I wanted to eat at Vollaths and not the Dizzy Daisy to avoid them doing this to me but is still happened!!!
