Loretta Bar — Restaurant in Munich

This place fast became our favourite during our time in Munich. Delicious coffee and possibly the best pistachio croissant I’ve ever had (and I do consider myself a connoisseur). Really cool vibe.

Beyond this, the management are exceptional and so kind – I left my purse at Loretta the morning before flying back to London. I gave them a call when I realised (unfortunately about five minutes before arriving at the airport) and they said they’d found it and were keeping it safe for me. Florian, one of the managers, was kind enough to offer to have it posted back to me in London to my utter shock. True to his word, Florian sent me the tracking details for the parcel the next morning which has just arrived with me back in London. I’m blown away by how helpful, kind and generous this way. The drinks are average-good and the bar is nice with a cozy atmosphere. BUT - the service is way below the standard. This was my 3rd visit to this bar, and I've had the same experience in all visits. The waiters and waitresses seem to rush you through your drink, ask constantly if you need anything else (even if you're in the middle of the drink you've gotten 10 minutes earlier), and generally make you feel like you should be drinking faster and ordering more. My wife and I had a brilliant time here. We literally wondered in off the street as we were looking for a place to drink pre dinner. It was packed but we managed to squeeze in at the bar and were immediately greeted by a fab barman (didn’t get his name but he had an impressive beard!). He was super friendly, very knowledgeable and great to chat to. All the cocktails made in front of us looked amazing.
