Fischerklause — Restaurant in Rostock

Bouillabaisse is made by steeping water, dried carrots, and frozen fish fillets, resulting in a bland and tasteless soup. On the other hand, Hummersuppe is so salty that it made my tongue feel bitter. When I told the waiter that the soup was too salty, my bowl was taken away, and I was told that my dislike was simply a matter of taste ("Geschmaksache" ). Unfortunately, based on our group's experience, this soup may not be suited to the taste preferences of people in the northern hemisphere. No one came to explain further until we left, and yet we were still charged 7.5 euros for each bowl of soup on our bill. I was surprised that such a soup could be advertised and recommended on the restaurant's front door when neither the kitchen nor the servers were prepared to welcome customers. Honestly, if you are exhausted, please take a break and do not convey your stress to customers through terrible soup. This was a complete disaster. I get it, it is a touristic zone and the food was good, but it was really really OVERPRICED for the amount of food you are getting.

Especially the mix of fish and “seafood” plate which was almost 35€ and we thought it would be for 2/3 people at least but it was only for one. Only had 3 half fillets of fish the size of 4 fingers, the smallest “scampi” which wasn’t even eatable and 1 shrimp spieße. Maybe we should have not ordered the “big” plate!!

Also it seems like the staff doesn’t want to work, we called at 12pm when they opened the phone and wanted to reserve beforehand, they told us they had a big group of people and were full, but then we tried going in person and the place only had 3 tables and we could...

Deserves more attention! This little place slips attention among the turist traps on the dock, but it deserves a visit! I went there for dinner and was very happy. I had a fish bouillabisse and the matje herring fillets (small portion, which was actually pretty big!) Everything was AMAZING and I paid a total of 20 euros with water and service.
