The Bayrischer Hof is a pleasant small hotel, adequately equipped and very close to the centre of this lovely old town. Our room was comfortable, clean, and big enough for a couple of days. Free wifi is provided, but access to some sites (i.e. Netflix) is restricted due to the wifi set -up.||There is secure off road parking for drivers at the rear of the property, which locked at night so safe for motorcycles or pedal cycles. The hotel is also quite close to the train station. ||The historic town centre is a short walk away, and there's is also a large supermarket and shopping centre about 5 minutes from the hotel. Whilst the hotel is on a road through to the town, it's not particularly busy and is quiet at nights||||The hotel owner spoke good English, and was most hospitable and helpful. Due to family illness (Sept 2019), there was no bar or evening meals in the restaurant, though there's plenty of choice close by in the town. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate. I would happily...

I raised this issue with the front desk, and after checking with their head office in Munich, I was told a refund for the first room would be processed within a week.|It has now been over four months, and I have yet to receive any refund or follow-up. ||Very disappointing service and lack of communication for what should have been a straightforward process.||Update: I attempted to leave this review on Google, but the hotel had it removed, citing “defamation.” This raises concerns about the accuracy and transparency of the hotel’s...
Read moreClean rooms, huge shower area with good water pressure for the junior suite! Junior suite is very cute, 2 single beds and 1 double bed with ample space. However, you have a walk up a flight of stairs (no lifts) to get to the rooms. Might be a problem for some.
Owner of the guesthouse was very kind to introduce us to popular areas in Rothenburg. Location was perfect, just a 5 minutes walk to the historic centre, and also a 5 minutes walk to a huge Kaufland Supermarket. Parking is possible at the guesthouse for 8EUR a night for secured parking. However, if you are lucky, there is free parking right across the road from the house. Will definitely be back if I...
