The shop is amazing. Although I have a complaint about a shop assistant in this shop we came today for the very first time in my life. Me, my husband and a couple of friends of us went to visit this shop this afternoon and we were all so happy and enthusiastic to visit it and take a look at all the amazing things the shop has to offer. Unfortunately, there was this top unfriendly, impolite and ultra rude shop assistant that told me not to smell the soap like this (each of it costs €5,95). I replied with: "I am gonna buy it". She kept being impolite and told me on a very unfriendly manner: "Then buy it all" and gave me a basket to put all the soap inside of it. I have visited many shops in my life but have never encountered such a rude and impolite shop assistant ever. Dear owners, please a note and take measurements not to keep such impolite shop assistants in your shop (the blond one with short, wavy hair working downstairs where the soap and other stuff is being stored and sold). We came to the city today for the very first time in my life and to your shop too and what I am taking is, is this awful memory that ruined my whole, first day in Rothenburg. It was traumatising to experience it. It felt very personal and humiliating. I bought 3 soaps and still felt the disappointment and insult in my heart. Thank you for taking this complaint seriously. You have a splendid shop, amazing products but let ruin the impression of it all by such rude people working inside of it. It's not good for your reputation. All the best and see you again hopefully without this...
Read moreExtremely unhappy with our cuckoo clock purchase after visiting Rothenburg. After receiving it and using proper instructions to carefully hang the clock, the pendulum stops two minutes before the hour randomly. I sent several emails to them with not having a live person to call and nothing was done. They responded at first but when the questioned was asked about mailing it to the location they recommended for repair they have not answered back. It is in two huge boxes and to mail it would be an expense. Then there is the cost of the repair that can run into money. It has a warranty but with no response it appears it’s under our expense for a brand new clock that was close to 1,600 dollars. They also mailed the package to the wrong street address then postal service made it almost impossible to receive and said it might get mailed back after waiting for almost two months for the delivery. Fortunately four daily trips to the post office saved the pkg from getting returned to Germany. Never buy a clock from this company. I can’t even use it at this point until it is repaired. I’d give zero...
Read moreWow. Enter at your own risk ... you may not return, lost to wander in Christmas forever! I made the "mistake" of thinking to step in for a quick browse. Do not do this. Do not enter these shops unless you have a generous 45 minutes, preferably an hour. You will wind through into Christmas Neverland, down into the depths of winter splendor, never to be seen again. Seriously, this shop keeps going and going and going, and it's pretty much one way, as you're directed into the distant nooks and crannies before you can finally start finding your way back, which then places you right in line for convenient checkout since I guess they assume you've picked something to buy by now. 8)
Amazing, beautiful, a definite time commitment. That doesn't even include exploration of the Christmas museum, which is attached. I will come back when I'm in the Christmas buying mood.
Also pretty ridiculous that they don't want you taking photos of your aerial view of the Christmas tree. They have lurkers making sure people abide by...
