While Rothenburg ob der Tauber is incredibly nice, restaurants seem to be a bit more on the unreasonably pricier side. Landwehr Bräu am Turm is the absolute contrary. It's only a few minutes by foot from the main spots but food & drinks are very reasonably priced and the quality is sublime. Nothing over the top fancy but simply good and well thought out dishes.
They have a great variety of beers from their own brewery (and other drinks) and a very small menu of vegetarian dishes. The beer garden is very relaxed and service was incredibly welcoming. Indoors you get the full experience of a traditional Franconian pub. Reservation is recommended due to limited amounts of tables.
