BBQ Haus KB Rabbit — Restaurant in Stuttgart

We went to eat at KB Rabbit today because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Unfortunately, we can't share these positive feelings from our experience. It started with the fact that we got a seat right next to the door despite having a reservation and even though there were other seats available when we arrived. The order form and the process itself were not really explained. It was okay, but not very professional. We also found out on our own that you have to get your own drinks from the fridge on site, which is also okay if you are told to do so. We then ordered two menus and a portion of rice and after the waiting time received a menu and a portion of kimchi (not ordered). When we then pointed this out, the kimchi was brought to the next table and we got the ordered second menu. But still no rice, so we pointed this out again. When we had eaten three quarters of the menu and the rice was still not there, we gave up on that. The protective paper in the frying surface also started to disintegrate bit by bit and the meat got stuck at the frying surface, which went unnoticed by the staff because nobody came to check. We also had to ask for the bill several times and it took a good while until we finally got it. The place itself also wasn't what we expected. The food was good. I went there together with a friend. We ordered barbecue, fried chicken, dumplings, and ovencooked eggplant. The quality of the meat was above average. We ordered pork belly, beef ribs, and some marinated beef. The marinated beef was the best option. It was the most tender and had the most flavor. The dumpilings had good texture but lacked flavor. The eggplant had good flavor and texture, but it was too greasy. The fried chicken was star here. It was very crispy and juicy. We ordered honey garlic, and it was ok point. Besides the food, the restaurant here is lacking some good drinks. The service was alright. We made a mistake, and it felt like the one who serviced us was annoyed by it. Die Kellnerin war wirklich nett im Gegensatz zu dem Herr. Wir wurden an den Tisch geführt und uns wurde nicht erklärt wie das Konzept funktioniert. Wir hatten für 7 Personen reserviert und wir wurden wirklich gefragt ob wir einen Tisch für 6 haben wollen oder lieber 2 Tische ( die Tische sind nicht wirklich groß). Da wir im 1.OG unseren Tisch hatten und es in diesem Bereich keine Abzugshauben über den Tisch gab war das Fenster durchgehend geöffnet bei -3 Grad Außentemperatur (uns war durchgehend kalt). Das essen kam sehr verzögernd an und uns wurde der Grill nicht angemacht (wir mussten dann Googlen da die Bedienung kaum oben war), wir haben 1 Stunde auf Frühlingsrollen warten müssen. Als wir dann bemerkten dass die zweite Portion Tintenfische fehlte haben wir dies der Kellnerin gemeldet. Da kam dann der Herr zu uns und hat uns erklärt dass beide Portionen Tintenfisch auf einem Teller kamen (selbst wenn wir etwas doppelt bestellt hatten kam dies durchgehend auf separaten Teller), als wir anmerkten dass wir es gut gefunden hätte wenns uns das gesagt worden wäre verwies der Kellner auf die Speisekarte „da steht ja dass es nur 2 Tintenfische sind“. Nach dem uns selbst eine halbe Stunde durch das Konzept gearbeitet haben, hatte man wirklich keinen Überblick was kommt und wieviel davon. Es kam keine Entschuldigung von dem Herr bzw dem Besitzer (Vermutung). Es gibt für beide Stockwerke nur eine Salz- und Pfeffermühle, welche uns auch einmal weggenommen wurde. Zudem sind die Treppen und die Deckoelemente nicht wirklich sauber. Das Wasser am Waschbecken auf dem Damen WC war so heiß das es gedampft hat.

Zudem sind die Preise unterirdisch! Für ein Wasser zahle ich genauso viel wie für eine Cola, Eistee,etc…

Es gab nur eine Gesamtrechnung. Es musste alles nochmal einzeln Berechnet werde, als alle Parteien dann zahlten mussten wir noch warten da der Kellner nochmal alle Einzelbeträge zusammen rechnen musste um auszuschließen dass etwas...
