Pizzeria Italia — Restaurant in Stuttgart

Good quality and good sized portions. Had the spaghetti with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan since the Bolognese sauce wasn't ready that day. Maybe I'll have to go back and try it a different day. The pizza was really good, good amount of sauce and good quality cheese they are traditional and don't slice it, so you know it's done right!

Edit: I went back and tried the rigatoni Bolognese, it was good but not spectacular. This time around too, when I tried to pay with card the owner said they wouldn't accept American cards only German. I was extremely confused as I paid the week prior with my card, after a short back and forth they accepted my card. Just an odd...

We came across this place thanks to pure coincidence. This place is small but nicely (elegant but subtle) decorated. They do not have a big menu but my boyfriend and i ordered two dishes and they were both incredibly good. Growing up with three chefs in the family i am usually quiet pekish but the food was truly fantastic and i would recommend this place to anybody. If you would like to eat there you are probably going to have to make a reservation seeing as they only have 10-15 tables in the restaurant but it is definitely...

Das Restaurant selbst ist recht klein und eng, sodass man dicht nebeneinander sitzt und wenig Platz hat. Hinzu kommt, dass es im Inneren sehr heiß war – fast unerträglich.

Ein weiteres Problem war die Kommunikation: Die Kellner sprechen entweder sehr wenig oder gar kein Deutsch, was die Verständigung erschwert hat.

Warum nur zwei Sterne? Beim Betreten der Pizzeria haben wir zunächst einen angenehmen Platz bekommen und direkt die Speisekarten erhalten. Soweit, so gut. Doch dann mussten wir etwa 15 Minuten warten, bis überhaupt jemand kam, um unsere Getränkebestellung aufzunehmen – bis dahin hatten wir uns auch schon für das Essen entschieden.

Die Vorspeise kam relativ schnell, aber die Teller wurden nicht abgeräumt, auch nicht, als wir fertig waren. Erst als die Hauptspeise etwa 30 Minuten später serviert wurde, hat man die Vorspeisenteller abgeräumt. Wir hatten Pasta bestellt, die geschmacklich leider nur mittelmäßig war – auch hier keine Empfehlung.

Das Bezahlen war ebenfalls ein Problem. Wir mussten die Bedienung zweimal darauf hinweisen, dass wir zahlen möchten, und nach dem Bringen der Rechnung wurde uns weitere 10 Minuten keine Beachtung geschenkt. Als wir dann aufstanden und gehen wollten, lief uns das Personal hinterher und entschuldigte sich mehrfach – zu diesem Zeitpunkt war es jedoch bereits zu spät.

Fazit: Das Personal war größtenteils damit beschäftigt, sich mit Bekannten im Restaurant zu unterhalten. Mit etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit und besserer Kommunikation hätte der Abend sicherlich angenehmer...
