Poffers Café Stuttgart — Restaurant in Stuttgart

👎 I would give this restaurant a ZERO stars if I can. If you're a foreigner dont mind going to this place. We went to this restaurant the lady at the door said there's no table available at the moment so we said we would wait and she said ok and she pointed us at one table saying when the people are done eating at the said table we can sit there. We waited more than an hour and when the people left we went to the said table and then this lady/waiter told us we cant sit there because there are other people coming to sit there and ask us to wait again. There's other people that came after us and got seated right away. If you're driving, it is really hard to find a parking in this area. In my opinion, the service on this restaurant SUCKS! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant. We saw the food and it's just doesnt look that great anyway, we only waited because we are starving and dont know any other place to go to and definitely food doesnt look like it's worth the wait. I rarely give a bad review on restaurants but this restaurant is cutting it, really bad service and...

WHAT TYPE OF PERSON WOULD CHARGE FOR A GLASS OF TAP WATER?

After a long stroll through the park, we spontaneously decided to stop here for some coffee. However, we soon found ourselves with only 3.20 euro worth of coins. Since we realised we wouldn't be able to order more than a coffee, we asked if card payment was accepted which is wasn't (fair dos). We then only ordered a cappuccino and a glass of tap water. When we wanted to pay, we had to wait quite some time until we got served.

After the long wait, it turned out that they charge 50 cents for the tiniest glass of TAP WATER.

Considering most people in there (as well as the employees) seem to be rather alternative/hipsterish/lefties and would probably classify water as being a human right, i am in SHOCK seeing an attitude like that.

Ich mag - beziehungsweise mochte - das Poffers echt gerne. War hier schon oft zum Frühstücken. Aber kürzlich war es eine Katastrophe! Daher werde ich das auf absehbare Zeit nicht wiederholen. Ich hatte einen Tisch für 6 auf 11:30h reserviert (vorgegebene Tischzeiten). 15 min standen wir am Eingang rum, aber das sichtlich gestresste Personal beachtete uns nicht. Als wir dann fragten, wurden wir an eine Kollegin verwiesen und bekamen dann einen Tisch für 5 - wir sollten uns dann zu dritt auf die Bank quetschen. Den Stuhl für die 6. Person mussten wir selbst organisieren. Weitere 20 Minuten lang passierte nichts, wir bekamen nicht mal eine Karte (35 min nach unserer Tischreservierung). Wir fragten nach und bekamen dann pampig die Auskunft, dass viel los sei. Eine proaktive Info? Fehlanzeige! Auch für die Getränke- und Essensbestellung mussten wir wieder auf uns aufmerksam machen, da niemand an unseren Tisch kam. Zwischenzeitlich waren wir 50 Minuten da! Es hieß dann, man würde uns schnell die Getränke bringen, Essen würde dauern. Aber auch dann passierte ewig nichts, sodass wir nach über einer Stunde immer noch vor einem leeren Tisch saßen. Mal eine weitere Info oder ein Krug Leitungswasser zur Überbrückung? Fehlanzeige. Irgendwann kamen die Getränke, dann nach und nach das Essen. Die Fladini waren lieblos auf den Teller geknallt (sonst mit Tomate/Gurke), es fehlte Besteck und teilweise auch Bestandteile der bestellen Sachen (bekamen wir auch von den Nebentischen mit). Auf die Poffers mussten wir lange warten, dann kamen plötzlich 2 Portionen, die man uns dann erst wieder wegnehmen wollte (die 2.), sich dann aber doch erbarmte, sie uns zu lassen - was am Ende x-mal erwähnt wurde, dass wir die ja umsonst bekommen hätten. Das Essen war heute fad, Käse aus der Packung. Als wir dies auf die Frage, wie das Essen war, so antworteten, wurde es abgetan, sei wie immer, Fladinis würden ja auch von extern so geliefert…. Nach 1,5 Stunden (Tisch bekommt man für 2 Stunden) wurden wir gefragt, ob wir bezahlten wollen - obwohl wir noch auf Kaffee warteten. Am Ende dauerte es dann ewig, bis die Karten-Bezahlung funktionierte. Es kann ja mal was schief laufen - dann kommt es eben darauf an, wie man damit umgeht! Eine proaktive Kommunikation, eine Entschuldigung oder einen Espresso aufs Haus (wie ich es in anderen Locations erlebt habe) gab es nicht! Und wenn man fixe Tischzeiten anbietet, muss man den Wechsel handeln können. Als wir gingen waren wir gestresst und hatten wahrlich kein schönes Frühstück hinter uns!!!

Ach ja: Keine Möglichkeit zum Wickeln vorhanden, neue Toilettenpapierrollen...
