We went to this very amazing restaurant owner place the day before yesterday for dinner. The owner is such an amazing person and I felt the restaurant is completely run by a family of 3. amazing cozy place with authentic marakkan food. We’re warmly welcomed by there welcome drinks even before we ordered something. We ordered food and he’ll warn you if you’re ordering more than you can ate at once. He’s not at all commercial. Felt like a next door neighbour serving you with love. We wanted to try their famous coffee st the end, for which also he didn’t charge any money! We bought a Tajine from him for very cheap price, they’re very expensive online. He and his wife told us very patiently how to use it. Last not the least, I left my bag there which I realised once I was home. 50km away. 🥲 We called him and he instantly let us know it’s safe in there and he told us we can pick it next morning even though they open it only at the evening. My husband went there to pick it up and he again offered him coffee. Omg! Save this guy and...
Read moreThis place is a GEM! We have lived in Morocco for five years and this was the most authentic Moroccan food we have ever had outside of Morocco. We tried the seafood pastilla, the chicken tagine and the tagine barkok. It tasted like home cooked Moroccan food, which is hard to find, even in Moroccan restaurants! The owner and his wife are both Moroccan and do the cooking themselves, hence the authenticity. On top of this all, you can feel the Moroccan hospitality. They were great to all of us, even before we told them that we had lived in Morocco. On top of this all, we had some delicious Moroccan mint tea with some good dessert. Ulm landed a gem and I would urge the locals and those traveling through to not miss this opportunity if you want authentic, delicious and well priced food that you simply will not easily get elsewhere. Shukran bezzaf! (Thank...
Read moreReally surprised by all the positive reviews here. Easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. Decor is shabby, everything takes ages because it seems like there’s only one person working there, food was mediocre (pretty dry couscous and lamb) and most importantly the owner was incredibly rude.
Because everything was taking very long we asked for dessert and the cheque together and he responded to that by saying - either you wait and I bring you things in my own time or I just bring you the cheque and you leave; and then demanded that we pay in cash only and then refused to let us leave until we said everything was good - truly horrifying experience and with not the cheapest price tag. I would highly recommended that you save your money and go to many of the other tastier and friendlier places in ulm. Definitely...
