Upon arrival at The Bodega, we found it confusing that it operates separately from the main restaurant next door. Even though we had a reservation, we were directed to check in at the restaurant where we weren't dining. Inside The Bodega, there was only one waitress, which resulted in slower service. We waited about 30 minutes before I had to ask someone to place our food order, which is why I'm not giving a five-star rating. The vibe leans more towards Mexican rather than Spanish, so it was a bit unexpected.
However, the food and cocktails certainly made up for the initial confusion. We had booked the all-you-can-eat tacos and opted for the four meat options (there's also one vegetarian choice), and each was fantastic in its own way—full of flavor and deliciously satisfying. I did notice on our way out that the tacos are prepared in the main restaurant, so it’s puzzling why the two are separate with different staff.
Despite the initial hiccups, The Bodega has a wonderful cosy atmosphere and shows great attention to detail...
Read moreI was super excited to kick off my first ever trip to Europa Park at Bodega Bar (Burger?) tonight, before spending the next 2 days at the park. Unfortunately, the (lack of) service has tainted my visit so far, so much so that I'm considering cancelling reservations that I have at other restaurants on property throughout the weekend.
Not a single person greeted me, or even acknowledged my presence when I arrived. I sat at the bar, but couldn't order there or on my phone for some reason, and had to wait for a server to come over to me. My drink order was wrong, and after 40 min of waiting (the place was at about half capacity), the server never came back to take my food order. Mind you, I was being extra patient, as I know the park just opened yesterday for the summer season.
Looks like I should have read the reviews here before going, as most mention very similar experiences. Definitely not the "perfect opportunity to ring in the evening in style," as the...
Read moreI bought 3 cocktails in the happy hour because then it was 2+1. The cocktails were very good and definitely worth their price but the service was horrible. We were served by Boris Nikolev and we didn’t saw his name tag which tells us which languages he speaks. We talked to him in English and he was very mean about and even said it didn’t interested him and he wouldn’t help us if we didn’t speak German. Now if he would’ve said it nicely we wouldn’t mind trying in German for him. Just because he was so mean and horrible I am giving this bad review, maybe he will be nicer to people if he or his boss reads this because it made the whole...
