Sala Santa Isabel — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Ettenheim

Ok-ish food but really bad service and overall organization. Recommendation: DON'T GO HERE! We went here to have an enjoyable evening with a nice dinner. Nearly all reviews indicated that this would be the case. But it was far less than acceptable. It was an awful experience. The buffet is the worst. It is not a buffet at all actually. You have to wait at least 30 minutes in line to order your main course, wait 10 more minutes in an extra line to receive it. The single cook is too overwhelmed and by the time you get your food it will be cold. Next to that it is only decent in quality. In this "restaurant" you have to wait in line (not at all Corona proof) in order to order your food at the cooking station whereas a better option would be to tell the waiter what you want and wait while enjoying your wine. The concept makes no sense! After complaining to the manager about this awful service/organization she was not at all apologetic and started arguing. In the end she agreed to reduce the price under obvious protest. This was for sure the first and last visit and we would recommend to enjoy an amazing dinner with great service and organization at the Captain's...

Lovely little buffet restaurant. Buffet with nice seafood refreshing salads. And an awesome grill with a person cooking the meat right in front of you. Great selection of meat. Nice desserts and ice cream. We made a super last minute reservation and we were treated very nicely by a wonderful lady. There is a tiny inner yard that we sat right next to one of the doors of it, super convenient for us smokers. Few musicians popped up and sang 1-2 songs, our daughter loved it and we were very entertained. Would love to have dinner there again!

Wir waren schon sehr oft in diesem Hotel. Wir sind Clubkartenbesitzer und besuchen den Europapark mehrmals im Jahr. wir waren auch schon oft in den anderen Hotels, aber das Santa Isabel sagt uns am meisten zu! Unseres Erachtens sind hier weniger Familien mit Kinder und es ist ruhiger. Das Hotel an sich ist wirklich schön im Kosterstil. Bisher hatten wir immer nur Standardzimmer gebucht. Für uns kam es bisher nicht in Frage so viel mehr Geld für eine Suite auszugeben - wir schlafen da ja nur ;) Das Bad ist toll, Dusche super, Toilette separat mit abschließbarer Tür! Kinderbetten sind in die Wand eingbaut im "Schrankstil". Das einzige was uns fehlt ist ein kleiner Kühlschrank / Minibar. Das Personal war immer freundlich. Das Duschgel war leer, haben wir gemeldet, ist innerhalb weniger Stunden ausgetauscht worden.

Nun zum Sorgenkind: Wir waren ja auch während Corona... (15.06.-17.06.20) Wir lieben in den Hotels das Frühstücksbuffet und das ist auch ein Grund warum wir das Europa Park Hotel buchen. Das Frühstück während Corona war grottenschlecht... Wenn man das tolle Frühstücksbuffet kennt, dass es hier immer gab, versteht man vielleicht was ich meine. Hier hätte man zumindest etwas am Zimmerpreis machen müssen... Man konnte Eier bestellen, die kamen dann auch recht zügig, aber Qualität war leider nicht so bombe. Außerdem erhält man ein kleines Tablett mit Wurst- und Käseauswahl und ein paar Semmeln, man konnte sich hier nichts selbst aussuchen. Das Buffet war immer so umfangreich, es gab so tolle und sooo viel Auswahl... Das war sehr sehr enttäuschend. Mir ist bewusst, dass sie es anfangs nicht anders machen konnten... Mittlerweile bieten wieder sehr viele Hotels Buffet an, aber eben mit Maskenpflicht - das ist doch auch ok!

Auf Nachfrage heute am 22.10.20 hat sich ergeben, dass die Hotels wohl wieder Buffet anbieten, ich bin gespannt wie das dann aussieht, ob es immer noch so reichhaltig ist wie damals? ich werde im Nachtrag berichten, wir fahren morgen nämlich wieder hoch!

Ansonsten werden wir weiter dieses Hotel buchen, weil es wie gesagt eher eins der ruhigeren ist und wir (noch) kinderlos sind und die Ruhe noch...
