We had some very good food here the other day, especially the sausage salad is great and so are the burgers. They also have Brauhaus classics like pork shank and beer pot roast. This is all done very well and being generously served. The waitstaff is very friendly. Their beers however are not quite up to German standards, they taste more like home brewed . Which, in a way they are, since they are brewed right there on site. But alltogether we were here for the experience, and this place did not disappoint: it really looks like a Brauhaus is supposed to look and it also feels that way.

Really bad experience in a very nice traditional German restaurant. Starting from the beginning, the waiters appeared very bad approaching us, giving the impression we were disturbing them, just for info we entered in the restaurant at 8:45 PM. Coming to the food: we ordered 2 sausages and 2 Schnitzel....starting from the sausages, served boiled...I can say reheated over and over again, and served with potatoes and not french fries as per menu, sauerkraut very good instead. Schnitzel: overcooked and full of oil. At the end, very bad experience.

I wanted to try some local craft beer with local food. This place did not disappoint. The beef goulash came with spatzle and cabbage and arrived so quickly that I was genuinely surprised and almost worried that I received someone else's. What quelched that worry was the FOH staff's professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine cohesiveness as a team. Not only did they appear to be enjoying themselves, but there were plenty of staff as well. Highly recommend. Prices and portions were fair, beers were interesting and I enjoyed them.

Guys, I have been to this place many many times. Food is normal, beer is good, but the service is by far the worst I have ever found. Rude, unfriendly, they eat and drink in front of customers, just makes you feel uneasy. I have no idea how others could give positive comments about it... One example: the other day I entered, this guy looked at us for 5 times before coming and check our covid pass. Then, he very rudely said we had 30 minutes to eat (try to imagine how fun this is...). After sitting, he left us and came to us after 15 minutes. We tried to order pork leg, but he told us they didn´t have it on that day. We got one beer and left to get a kebab. This is just an example. I was treated awfully even when I was the only customer in the entire room. I am not sure how they can keep customers with...

Great place with excellent beer and food. I went there two nights in a row for dinner as the first night was so pleasant and I wanted to try another item on the menu. I had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce the first night. I was reluctant as the only times I have had schnitzel it was dry. Their preparation was moist and delicious and I loved the mushroom sauce. Importantly for me, they also are their own Messing beer, which is more hoppy and bitter , like the American Pacific Northwest IPAs I love so much. Second night I had the pork knuckle with kraut and it was excellent also. Nice local feel to the place. Service was prompt, pleasant and patient as I tried out my barely functional German. The restaurant was also a five minute walk through old town from my hotel.I...

Brauhaus Joh. Albrecht, Konstanz
