it's not on the main street of altstadt, so it was easier to find a table unlike Heinrich or Voglhaus. I really liked the interiors & overall concept, most of the staff is friendly. However, there are some really dissappointing things about this place;

1. The tables are extremely close to each other, it's not possible to go to wc or to order something without disturbing others.

2. The portion size is extremely small (as you can see in the picture. Probably smallest cake I have ever been served.

3. This one is a big red flag; I have ordered for our group at the counter & paid. Afterwards the food and drinks are served to our table and we left the place after 30 mins. When we were outside and I was trying to unlock my bike, one of the waiters came outside and shouted from the door of the place if we had ordered cappucinos and left without paying. I answered we ordered something else & paid at the counter and asked him what's the problem; he turned back without even answering or apologizing. I went inside to ask him what's the problem again and he said he was just confused. Still no apology. You guys really need to improve.

They took our order and we waited for 50 min and they didn't bring anything. We didn't want to rush because we got our coffee after 20 min waiting. But no food at all. Also the waitress took our cappucinos to another table first. At certain point we wanted to leave and they were not even aware of our order. They didn't know we were waiting for the order.

Besides, the portions looked very small for the high prices. I got the smallest cappucino cup ever. Also, the tables are too close to each other, the place is definitely not cosy despite nice decorations.

Mistakes can happen but the reaction/apology didn't feel sincere. If this could have happened in another cafe, they would not charge us for the coffee or give discount or just do something to apologize. No such thing happened. She said, sorry we forgot. The place wasn't crowded at all to justify such a confusion and we were waiting with an empty table in a relatively empty cafe. Overall, not...

Das Café ist grundsätzlich top – gemütlich, gut gelegen und mit einem interessanten Konzept. Ich konnte bisher nichts daran aussetzen. Leider war der letzte Gassenfreitag eine Ausnahme, was den Service betrifft.

Wir waren gegen 18 Uhr da – also recht früh – und trotzdem wirkte das Personal bereits überfordert. Es begann mit einer Verwirrung rund um das „Spezialangebot“: Wein und Wasser zusammen für einen Preis, der eigentlich kein Sonderangebot darstellt, da die Wasserflasche regulär bereits 5 Euro kostet. Als wir freundlich darauf hingewiesen haben, reagierte die Bedienung recht unsicher.

Auch bei den Gläsern lief einiges schief. Wir hatten bereits Weingläser (mit je 10 Euro Pfand) erhalten und teilten mit, dass wir keine zusätzlichen Wassergläser brauchen – dennoch wurden uns welche gebracht. Auf den Hinweis hin wirkte die Bedienung erneut überfordert und sagte, so einen Fall habe sie noch nie gehabt. Dabei übersah sie offenbar auch, uns die Pfandmarken auszuhändigen. Das ist menschlich und kann passieren, war uns in dem Moment auch nicht bewusst.

Später – bei der zweiten Bestellung – lief zwar alles reibungslos ab, aber wieder erhielten wir keine Pfandmarken. Erst beim Zurückgeben der Gläser kurz vor 22 Uhr wurde uns gesagt, dass wir ohne Marken kein Geld zurückbekommen. Als wir erklärten, dass wir nie Pfandmarken erhalten hatten und das auch nicht wussten, reagierte eine weitere Bedienung leider sehr unfreundlich. Sie warf uns in einem unangemessenen Tonfall vor, wir würden ihr unterstellen, sie habe uns keine Marken gegeben. Die Situation wurde unnötig aufgeheizt, statt sie ruhig zu klären.

Letztlich haben wir das Pfandgeld doch noch zurückbekommen. Trotzdem hat uns der Umgangston und die ganze Art der Kommunikation enttäuscht – vor allem, da wir extra für den Gassenfreitag gekommen waren und das Konzept eigentlich sehr schön finden.

Fazit: Ein grundsätzlich tolles Café mit Potenzial, aber leider mangelt es (zumindest bei viel Betrieb) an Organisation und kundenorientiertem Umgang. Nach dieser Erfahrung werde ich wohl nicht wiederkommen, was ich sehr...
