It was our first time here trying some Korean cuisine in Würzburg during our excursion.
Our server promptly checked our COVID vaccination certificates against our photo IDs just as we were being seated--Germany's 2G standard. At least it's not 2G+ requiring negative COVID test only valid for 24 hours yet.
Atmosphere was very nice having a relaxing BGM playing. Walls were painted white rendering somewhat surgical feeling, but at least it gave me a feeling of certain cleanliness. Sections were divided by plexiglass for our protection since tables were somewhat close to each other.
Restrooms downstairs were very clean. I thought gender designations of rooms were very unique.
Service was very courteous, friendly and prompt. Five tables (out of eight or so) were occupied in the main section during our lunch, and one server took care of it all with very efficiency. Our drinks and food orders were taken right away, and our food came out of the kitchen fairly fast. Lunch Bibimbap (8,50€) was reasonable and tasty. I thought we might get some banchan (side dishes), but we didn't. That was somewhat disappointing. Judging from what was on our bibimbap, they have decent banchan. I also thought the portion of rice was somewhat small, so it didn't give me a sense of overwhelming fullness after finishing the whole bowl. Well, don't bother with their "mild" sauce and stick to the traditional gotchjan instead. It had certain sour taste to it and wasn't too good IMHO. It left a funny aftertaste in my mouth. It had an option of vegan, so I think it perhaps reflected the university population in Würzburg.
It was another good find in Würzburg. If you like Korean food, you might want to give it a try here. Unfortunately, no credit card accepted (in that sense, not too tourist friendly)! I hope they'll consider offering that option...
Read moreThe food was good but a bit under-seasoned for my liking, it was still enjoyable & tasty. The price was a bit high but the portions were a good size so it was acceptable.
I mainly want to say that I didn’t enjoy my experience because of the service. Most of the staff was friendly but you could feel that they were stressed because it was busy. I understand this, I also work in service & know how it can be. Nevertheless, I think that a busy rush should never affect how you treat a customer!
The situation was that I ordered a Helles but they don’t have that on the menu (I didn’t know & didn’t have a menu to read on the table) so the young man brought a Weißbier Hell. I said that I wanted something else - the reaction of the waiter was to let out a loud “UGH” in our faces, stomped back annoyed to the bar (right behind us) & started discussing with his colleague in Korean while looking over at me which made me & my friend feel very uncomfortable.
Everything got sorted out in the end, I got a Pils instead & we still tipped 10%, but that attitude was totally...
Read moreHorrible waitstaff and kitchen service. Today we reserved a table at 5:30 to 7:00 pm, I know there were a lot of people but the drinks took a long time and they forgot the food and it was not until 6:45 that we did not have the food because they had been Forgot to do it, to make matters worse the waitress tells us that we have to leave at 7:00 because the table is reserved, we had 15 minutes to eat the food which was also very hot and it took 1H to make the meal, what disappointed me the most This place was the person in charge of Friday, March 11, who told us that we had to leave anyway, that there was a lack of professionalism on the part of the waiters who run around for a meal, on the part of the kitchen that forgets and is impatient with the waiters when they see that it is full and they do not take the food away, unfortunately I will not return to this place since it is the 2nd time that I take a bad taste from here and it is a pity because the...
