Neubar — Restaurant in Würzburg

It has been a long time since I left reviews here, but This cafe was so inspiring that I decided to write one while still finishing my cup of Cappuccino! I come from a big city and am constantly looking for fancy, stylish and refreshing cafes in Wurzburg and Neubar stole my heart! The ambience is exceptional, the interiors combine the rawness of brutalism with coziness created by soft lights, wooden tables and very comfy seats! The whole concept is about simplicity and rawness - it’s literally called New Bar, how much more beautifully simple it can get? You come here to unwind and there is nothing to distract or disturb your mind, only to inspire, I can easily imagine this place in a huge city or somewhere on Bali as well! 🌊 Whenever I go to a new cafe I check their cappuccino out and here it is creamy, without bitterness, delicious and they have both regular and grande for coffee lovers like I am! I decided to try Mohnkuchen ( a pie with poppy seeds ) which is a risky choice as it is often very dry and tasteless, And OH MY GOD, I don’t understand what kind of out of Hogwarts magic this is, but the cake is SOOO buttery creamy, rich, not overly sweet, soft - just melting in your mouth. This is by far the best poppy-seed pie in my life! It is my personal recommendation now and I will surely be coming back for it again! The service is also exceptional, I can tell the owner (I think he is?) is very passionate about his creation, both him and the waitress very very kind, attentive, soft-spoken, polite and professional! There is literally nothing not to like here and I am not shying away from talking about disadvantages when I find them, but surely we have to mention everything good we like as well to express our gratitude to the creators of places we admire!)

P.S there is a fireplace mounted to the wall and it added even more to the ambiance and coziness of the place! And the music is dope! 🔥

Mieser Service und sehr seltsamer, unfreundlicher Besitzer. Wir waren hier zu viert am Samstagabend in der Bar. Haben noch einen kleinen Tisch (für zwei) zu viert bekommen. Erstmal haben wir fast eine halbe Stunde gewartet bis Getränke aufgenommen wurden und das ist auch nur auf Eigeninitiative von uns passiert. Dann nochmal länger auf die Getränke gewartet. Das wäre ja noch in Ordnung für uns gewesen, aber dann wollten zwei von uns noch ein Bier nachbestellen. Es kam wieder niemand zu uns 20Minuten lang, bis wir selbst wieder signalisiert haben, dass wir was bestellen wollen. Dann kam der Besitzer und hat die Bestellung aufgenommen und uns dann gefragt, ob bei uns alles „in Ordnung sei, ihr habt so komisch gegrinst“. Er habe sich gefragt, warum wir so komisch gegrinst hätten. Wir waren so perplex und wussten gar nicht, was wir darauf sagen sollten. Total bizarr, noch nie so eine komische Situation erlebt in der Gastro. Dann kam er mit den zwei Bier und hat zu uns gesagt, wir würden den Tisch blockieren für andere Gäste (wer auch immer das gewesen sein soll, es stand niemand an) und wenn nur zwei was nachbestellen, ist das für ihn nicht rentabel. Interessante Aussage dafür, dass man Gäste eine halbe Stunde lang auf ihre Bestellung warten lässt und nie nachfragt, ob sie noch was nachbestellen wollen…Daraufhin haben wir ausgetrunken und diese Bar schnell verlassen. Es waren drei (!) Tische frei als wir gegangen sind. So viel zu den anderen wartenden Gästen. Total unfreundliches, bizarres und dreistes Verhalten seitens des „Gastgebers“ und unfähiges Personal. Wir kommen ganz sicher...

Caught staff after what must have been a long and busy Sunday. 4 of them behind the bar, having a yarn. Only one woman running, so orders took forever. Table next to me had their drinks forgotten. Place was busy but not swamped. Some empty tables. Food and drinks were delicious though. Hopefully the other ladies helped earlier that day (in that case I would understand if they just needed a break and were exhausted, I've had days like these myself as...
