Hands down one of the worst places we have ever eaten at or been to. And the worst steak and food we’ve had in our lives. To this day I’m absolutely baffled that people seem to highly recommend this place so much- honestly bizzare and we’ve come to the conclusion it must just be because it has cool vintage furniture and quirky decoration in there which makes it a cool place to visit. The service from the waiters is really good, they’re very smiley, but the chef has the worst attitude we’ve ever come across. The food is SO poor. We asked for our steaks to be rare-cooked and we received tough, almost cold, chew-it-for-10-minutes hard steak, and of poor quality. That’s just the steak… the chips were literally hard, cold, old chips - like day-old chips you might get from a chippie. Halloumi wasn’t even cooked it was like someone just pressed it on a grill once so it got a few grill-lines on it and served it up. My partner’s steak was served with Squeezey BBQ sauce. Literally the type that’s from a squeezey Heinz bottle. The food is of very very low quality in general, even the cocktails too. Really disappointing. Then comes the story about the steaks… we sent back our tough, well-done steaks that were supposed to be rare and very politely asked for a new set. We were then served a revenge-serving of ultra-blue steaks, what can only be described as as “steak so raw it’s still moo’ing”. The steak was literally squidgey jelly, blue. Not cooked. And pale grey at the top. With zero flavour. The chef clearly wasn’t happy that we sent back our steaks the first time and he decided to go the opposite way and give us blue uncooked steak. So we sent it back and said let’s just pay up for our meal (but not the steaks of course) and leave. The very nice waiter then brought over an extremely angry, hot headed shouting chef. This chef literally shouted at us in front of the whole restaurant, it was embarrassing and unprofessional. He shouted at my partner “how would you like the steak done if it’s not like this?” And proceeded to be disrespectful and angry, my partner asked him to calm down and the kind waiter also asked him to calm down. The chef quite frankly embarassed himself and it was in front of the whole restaurant. It was very clear how uncooked our steaks were and this chef decided to throw a tantrum about it. We’ve never experienced something so unprofessional. It’s safe to say we would never step foot in this place ever again, wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole and we would be telling everyone else to...

We visited Butler’s House on our final night after seeing so many positive reviews online, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype for us.

The experience started off well — the front of house host was friendly and welcoming, and although we had to wait a couple of minutes for a table, it wasn’t an issue. However, once seated, we waited quite a while before anyone came to take our order. When a server finally arrived, they didn’t seem particularly friendly, and we were told that some of the dishes my family had been looking forward to were no longer available, which was disappointing. That said, other servers we interacted with were pleasant and helpful.

The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant are definitely a highlight — it’s full of charm and character, and the antique decor downstairs adds a unique touch.

Food-wise, service was fairly quick, but there were a few major issues. My dish came out with cheese despite clearly requesting it without, and worse, there was a bug crawling in my mom’s food. Staff explained that their garnishes come from their garden, but you’d expect them to be properly washed before reaching the plate. The food was taken away and brought back suspiciously quickly, leading us to believe it was simply “fixed” and returned. Considering the bug was crawling in the sauce of her meal, this wasn’t great.

On a positive note, they did provide a takeaway box for my sister’s leftovers, which was appreciated.

Overall, while the place itself has a lovely vibe and the food is nicely presented, the experience didn’t match the high expectations...

Came here in 2022 and enjoyed great food and attentive service; we're back in SEPTEMBER 2024 and what a change! We were so looking forward to returning here but...Wow! Seems it's now somewhere that just wants you in the door and sat down. After that, we were waiting...and waiting...and waiting. I could go on. Some time later that night, we attracted a waiter's attention and were told only one person can take orders. Some time even later that night, that one person came to take our order. Seconds later, our starters arrived with our drinks. So quick! We finished, nobody came to take our plates and our main courses arrived. Looked good but sadly didn't match the appearance. It's not mushroom risotto, it's mushrooms with rice; so different. The fish souvlaki was ok but a few minutes more on the grill would have been so good. Whilst we were chatting between eating, a waiter appeared and asked if we'd finished! Amazing! Having waited for ages to no avail, one appears whilst we are having our meal and thinks we're finished!!??. Please team, try to make your seemingly many staff do something useful, such as pay attention to your customers. All around us, we saw couples being ignored for ages. It's just ridiculous to have so many staff that spend their time wandering around and saying they don't do orders or take drinks. We sat somewhere around table 32 but had no number on the table. When we paid, there was no attempt to add a tip. I guess even they know they're offering poor service but hey, the place was packed...with very...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butler's House, a gem of a Greek restaurant nestled in the heart of Lassi. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in the warm and inviting ambiance, reminiscent of a cozy taverna on a Greek island. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and exceptional hospitality, setting the tone for a memorable evening. The menu is a celebration of authentic Greek cuisine, offering a delightful array of dishes that cater to both traditional tastes and modern palates. For the main course, I chose the moussaka, a rich and hearty dish layered with eggplant, potatoes, and a savory meat sauce, all topped with a creamy béchamel. It was cooked to perfection, with each bite melting in my mouth. My dining companion opted for th, which were tender, juicy, and expertly seasoned. To finish, we indulged in baklava and loukoumades. The baklava was a sweet symphony of crispy layers and honey, while the loukoumades were light, airy, and drizzled with just the right amount of syrup. In summary, Butler's House is a true culinary treasure. The combination of authentic flavors, warm hospitality, and a charming atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Greece. Highly recommended!

Magical place with a lot of anciat stuff all around the resturants including the toilet room. Amaizing !!! for main dishes We've orderd maxican pasta with chicken and T-Bon 500 gram steak. The mexican pasta came with a cheese that we ask in generly not to put. Unforchanetly, the other mixican past came with no cheese but the forgot the chicken... The wonderfull guy waiter appologized, offer to replace the dish, but my wife enjoyed also without the chicken, so we pass it. The waiter decided not to charged thia dish and gave us as a compensation an ice-cream. It was very nice and we felt much better. Accept this, the T-Bon 500 gram was made well and tasty. The patato served cold and we infromed the waiter. The greek salad without the feta was fresh and tasty. The olives were locals and tasty very much. The bread was excellent, warm and fresh. The taller women waiter gave a little bit "ice-person" service. The Owner was warm and friendly. The Resturat, is one of the beautifull one we saw.
