Astron — Restaurant in Athens

Small update: they reopened here in Gazi, thats why you see the pinpoint changed. I will go and see if my last review from last year will apply again.

Old review: This place used to be cool because it was exclusive, meaning that big groups were usually not accepted in, couples were not allowed and even people who don't dance. Now, unfortunately, this has changed, the bouncers seem to accept people who are all of the above and the overall experience got very bad lately, so bad that I won't be back even if they have good Djs playing.

Even if i changed this review from 5 stars to 3, I don't understand the 2 stars reviews...this place is similar to Berghain(just a tiny version of it)...if the doorman doesn't like you or thinks that you are not proper for the event, he will reject you, and so what? Try your best next time, better if dressed up with black clothing, going solo (because you don't need a big group to enjoy the music they play there). I hope it will change in the future for a better more exclusive place to go to for now...i will just go to Cantina or other places with...

We are here for a few days. We heard the music so we went to the door of the bar. The Security guy came out and so we asked(friendly) if we could enter….. he on the other hand, wasn’t so friendly at all!! To our question he only replied, if we knew the occasion of the party. We did not. And we could’t enter. Which wasn’t the problem. As to the question what the fuss was all about (still friendly) he told us to go away and left us shutting the door in our faces. I can’t say if the club is a good one. But the first impression, starting with the doorman: under 1 star. Never have I felt so offended by a doorman. I only give one star, cause we met the cute female bartender a bit later. She told us that it was a private party. Was that to hard to tell us...

Great spot with live techno music. I assume it's not been like this pre-pandemic, but right now the party is on the street, all night, until 5 AM-ish on the weekends, 3 AM-ish on the weekdays. They have surprisingly well running drink ordering and the restroom lines: the security gals and guys just take care of making sure everyone gets their turn. Loved...
