This is one of the best meals I ever had.
Went to a restaurant near the apartment last night, because it seemingly did seafood online but when we got there, they'd changed the menu more recently. We took the risk and ordered mezze and I am SO glad we did.
My partner had boar sausage which he said was super delicious, rich and juicy.
We shared everything else (the potatoes and egg was meant to have ham in it but they kindly put it in a cup separate instead, my partner enjoyed his ham cup! )
Their bruschetta was totally not what I was expecting, it was more of a fried polenta patty topped with olive pesto, whipped goat cheese and tomatoes, and it was the most perfect thing I've ever eaten. The textures and tastes were everything all at once.
Dolmades reminded me of what my friends mum used to make using our vine leaves from the garden and gift back to us. I unashamedly ate all of them.

However, there are a couple of points that need consideration. Firstly, the prices felt a bit steep. While I understand that quality comes at a price, it seemed a bit excessive. I would recommend it for the food quality and the service, but do keep in mind the pricing and...
Read moreLocated in Keramikos, Pyroliki restaurant offers a pleasant setting for Mediterranean cuisine enthusiasts. The friendly and cozy atmosphere, coupled with a charming courtyard, sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. The extensive Pyroliki menu showcases a wide range of Greek traditions and gastronomy. However, it falls short by omitting even basic dishes like fried potatoes. Notable options include the Greek traditional pasta beef casserole (giouvetsi), seafood pie with potato puree, homemade Cretan pasta with mushrooms, shrimp ouzo sauce, and baked stuffed baguette with eggs, among other Greek classics. While the dishes are made with quality ingredients sourced from the market, the portion sizes tend to be small. It's worth noting that Pyroliki is considered expensive...
