Read moreI had a very bad experience there today. I arrived some time after my friends that were already seated. It was very sunny and we asked the staff to move us under the shade, when possible. They told us we cannot move since there is a queue of people waiting to be seated. We politely asked to be part of the queue and wait for our turn and they refused saying that it can't be done, since we are already seated. It was very important to me because I have a medical condition and should not be under the sun, as I informed the staff. They refused to move us, were very rude (the waitress asked us "have you ever done my job?" implying it was very difficult to move us to shade and when we spoke to the manager he was also very rude and offensive, implying it was outrageous to ask to move to the shade when a table becomes empty), and they were not willing to help us. As we were waiting in the sun, other people that came after us were taking the newly emptied tables in the shade. When we asked the waitress about it she said that it happened because they didn't ask her and went to sit there regardless of us waiting. After we further expressed our complaints about their behaviour and stance, they did something unbelievable, they made a couple get up from their table in the shade so we can sit there. Of course we refused, because we didn't want to get somebody else's place, but wait our turn. When we asked to speak to the manager for a second time, to complain, we were informed that he had left. Overall, I wanted to go to a nice place, have a coffee and relax with my friends and what I got was an awful experience. I would not go...
Read moreFood was delightful. Not really Greek dishes, more med. Evening was marred by the rude waitress (older lady with dark hair), she was rude, blunt and avoided talking or acknowledging me, maybe because I was the only coloured brown person there, she instead talked through my white friend to communicate. “Can you tell your friend …” We didn’t tip her and didn’t stay for the main course. At the end, we told her she was rude and likely a racist. She wasn’t bothered. I’m sure this won’t put people off. It reminded me to be mindful of the intense racism present against minorities. We subsequently ate in Rafiki Tavern, 5 mins walk, amazingly friendly and welcoming, mind blowing flavours of their Greek tapas and a warm friendly atmosphere. Exercise cash graciously and...
