If you're a dessert lover visiting Athens, Dessert Wise is an absolute gem that should be at the top of your list. This charming dessert shop stands out not only for its beautifully presented sweets but also for its commitment to quality ingredients and bold, balanced flavors. We had the pleasure of trying two of their standout offerings — the 55% Dark Chocolate dessert and their Baklava — and both were truly exceptional. The 55% Dark Chocolate dessert was rich, smooth, and indulgently satisfying. It had that perfect bittersweet balance — intense without being overwhelming, sweet without being cloying. The texture was silky, and each bite melted perfectly, delivering deep cocoa notes that lingered beautifully. You can tell this was crafted with a lot of care and high-quality chocolate. The Baklava was equally impressive. Delicate, crisp layers of phyllo pastry, generously filled with crushed nuts and just the right amount of syrup — not overly sweet, which allowed the nutty, buttery flavors to shine through. It had that ideal balance of crunch and moisture, which is hard to get just right. The ambiance of the shop was modern yet cozy, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and passionate about their offerings. It’s clear that Dessert Wise is not just about making desserts — it’s about creating experiences. Whether you're a fan of classic sweets or modern chocolate creations, Dessert Wise delivers an unforgettable treat. A must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth in Athens!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dessert Wise, a dessert-focused restaurant helmed by the incredibly talented Chef Panagiotis Polychronis. My experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The highlight of the evening was a truly inventive creation: caviar white chocolate lemon sorbet, expertly paired with a complementary wine. The combination was a revelation—the creamy sweetness of the white chocolate balanced perfectly with the bright, zesty lemon, while the caviar added a surprising and luxurious touch. The wine pairing elevated each bite, bringing out subtle flavors I never expected from a dessert. What made the experience even more memorable was the personal touch from Chef himself. He presented the plate at my table and took the time to share the story and inspiration behind the dish. Hearing the chef describe his creative process added a whole new dimension to the meal, making it feel intimate and special. From the impeccable presentation to the innovative flavors and the chef’s genuine passion, every detail was thoughtfully curated. I left Dessert Wise feeling inspired and eager to return. If you appreciate desserts that push boundaries and a dining experience that feels truly personal, this is a must-visit spot.

Dessert wise is a dessert restaurant, serving fine-dining desserts. There are familiar options and others where it is tough to find a reference point for. Apparently the menu is seasonal and we were lucky enough to have the summer one. We had the "pop-corn", the "tea" and the "olive oil" ones. Everything was exquisite but the latter was outwardly. Execution on each dessert was close to perfection and the balance was spot-on for our taste, not too sweet, you can easily get multiple courses and still be fine. The presentation is like art, you almost feel guilty having to ruin them to enjoy. The chef is a lovely and charming person, very kind and knowledgeable. The place is very cozy, elegant and with the essence of a fine-dining restaurant. Excellent for dates and small groups. A restaurant for desserts is a rare sight in the city and this has to be one of the best ones. Can't recommend it enough.
