Benaki Museum - The Ghika Gallery — Attraction in Athens

The collection was a pleasant surprice. The museum has five stores. In the first three there are paintings and sculpture from all the main modern greek artists. There are also some intresting historical relics (if one is intrested in things like that) like the pistol that was used by (the poet) kariotakis or the nobel prise of (the poet) Ritsos. The last floors are hosting the exsibition of the modern painter nikos hatgikiriakos gykas. The last two floors have his house and atelie as it was. Overall a very nice place to visit if you arr looking for greek modern art.

One more magnificent museum part of Benaki network. You need plenty of time to fully explore the five floors of this art gallery. There are many books, personal items of the artists, paintings, sculptures and other artworks. The last two floors used as the home and the workshop of Nikos Chatzikiriakos-Gikas and are AMAZING.
