Read moreI visited this small restaurant for dinner on a Sunday night with my family. We ordered Calamari wraps and chicken wraps and portions of fries, as well as some tzatziki to accompany. Do note that they only serve Gyros meat and not kalamaki chicken or pork which I wasn't aware but wasnt an issue. As a party of 6 people I would suggest 2 portions of tzatziki. And we shared 3 portions of fries. The wraps are quite small, and don't have the traditional chips inside the gyro wrap. But I'm told the chicken is very tasty and well seasoned and this makes up for the smaller portion sizes. My 16 month old happily ate the gyros chicken with gusto. In regards to the Calamari wrap, the squid is battered and fried. The ratio of squid to batter was not proportionate and it felt like you were eating mostly batter. However I must say the flavour profile of the overall sandwich was nice and as there isn't always a decent veggie /vegan/ pescatarian wrap option at traditional souvlaki grills in Athens, I would be happy to have this again. There is also the veggie dolmadakia option for vegetarians and vegans which I didn't try but would go back for. Staff on the till were very patient with us as we all asked for changes to our wraps...
Read moreUnbelievably bad food, truly inedible, makes one question how much of a trade there must be in “amazing reviews”. Arrived on a Saturday night when most places are packed with people. There were only three customers. It had “good reviews” and I had travelled into to town to go there, so thought it was maybe exclusive or expensive. It was neither. Pay upfront. Hard sausage that could hardly be cut with the disposable knife (provided as an afterthought), a soggy mess of old chips, onion and tomato, squeezed into a throwaway paper box even though I was “dining in”. Easily the worst meal I’ve experienced in Athens. I’d give it 1 or zero stars except such low reviews are rarely read and feel others should be warned. Did my best with a few mouthfuls then abandoned it. The glass of wine for €3.50 was reasonable enough. The table wobbled though one of the staff did try (unsuccessfully) to fix it. Difficult to see how they can stay in business serving such vile junkfood but I suppose passing trade and fake reviews keep them going. Athens is a beautiful city: don’t spoil your holiday by...
