The rooftop is very nice, an ideal setting for a late summer night's drink with friends or your love. The cocktails are well made, both the classic cocktails and their own signature cocktails. Taste wise their signature cocktails lean towards the bitter side with a few exceptions. We tried the San Tropicano and the Black Forest. The Tropicano tasted sweet and was very good, reminded me of Skyfall Bar's Mastic and Strawberry cocktail with the difference being in the liquor used and the orange juice instead of Strawberry. The Black Forest was good but not great. I expected a little more chocolaty taste. The service was very quick and the personnel was very kind and acted promptly on our requests. All in all a very nice cocktail bar for those summer nights in the center of Athens! They should put a sign on Ermou street to help people locate the entrance with less hassle and searching. Forgot to mention that their prices are very reasonable for the area and the drinks quality. The cocktails ranged from 8 euro to 13 Euro with the average cost being 9-9.5 euro per cocktail. The Black Forest was one of the exceptions with it costing 13 Euro due to the expensive liquor it had. Highly...
Read moreThis is a great restaurant/bar to be when you are looking to relax away from the crowd at Monasteraki. Big bonus to it -- you get a view of the Acropolis whether you are enjoying going through their extensive cocktail selections or simply there for a meal or tapas.
I enjoyed their espresso martini which was stronger alcohol-wise compared to the ones I have had in France and Asia. They also have a number of internationally known cocktails as well as usual classics. Go for it -- the prices are very reasonable and they don't scrimp on the liquor.
Food-wise, the cheese / deli platter and the pasta dishes are great. Both have local as well as international variations which should be more welcome even to the picky eater. I say go for the small plates, and enjoy the ambiance. It has the feels of a more drinks + tapas with the occasional DJ spinning house or deep chill beats.
And speaking of ambiance, take it all in. The views are amazing. Go for the sunset and stay till the Acropolis is lit up. Then enjoy that drink (or trip), and fall in love...
Read moreThe cocktails were rather good, especially the Celtic Sour tasted balanced and interesting. The red wine on the contrary tasted okay while it was still cool (it came cooled) but as it warmed up its acidity became overwhelming and we decided not to finish it. Similarly to our experience with their beverages, the service was mixed. There was one member of staff who was very attentive, quickly noticing when we needed something. Most others, however, were very much immersed in their thoughts, so oftentimes we had to wait for a long time to place another order or pay. The views were pretty good from this rooftop bar - be aware though that you cannot see the full sunset, just the Acropolis being illuminated in the dark. Additionally, we were disappointed by the very loud music which wasn't conducive to enjoying a relaxed conversation. The food though was convincing, we had the beetroot hummus and the bruscetta, which were delicious. Overall, I'd say go to this bar for the views and the experience, not for...
