This rating is not for the food but for the chef. How ever good is the “chef”, he has no right to yell at people in front of the customers. He send the poor girl home in front of everyone just because she was on her phone. Even if it’s serious, you should take her on the side give her a warning. Or in a quiet way send her home. This is no way for a “professional” to act. Regardless of how good his skills are he definitely needs to work on his manners. Regardless in what ever places he worked he is still an amateur and no way in shape or form this guy is a REAL CHEF! He is clown. This is real life and you work with real people! This is not the tv! How dare you fire people just like that in front of everyone you little man? You are a clown. If he worked for my restaurants he would definitely get fired with no warning what so ever! The gyros was dry and a bit spicy. The portion was too small. the bread was nice and the design is cool. Everything was cool until this guy came along. Definitely not coming back until...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying καψα, a new souvlaki spot located in the bustling Plateia Klathmonos. This quaint eatery offers a delightful twist on traditional Greek street food, particularly tilihta—gyros wrapped in freshly baked pita bread. Their menu presents a classic version of tilihta alongside more inventive variations, ensuring there’s something to tantalize every palate.
The quality of the food at καψα is top-notch, featuring succulent meats that are perfectly seasoned and cooked, paired with fresh, crisp vegetables and creamy, flavorful sauces. The twist on the traditional tilihta incorporates unique ingredients that blend harmoniously, offering a refreshing take on a beloved classic.
The atmosphere is welcoming, with a clean, modern decor that retains a touch of traditional charm. Prices are reasonable, making it an ideal spot for a quick, satisfying bite. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, καψα is a must-visit for anyone in search of authentic and inventive Greek...
Read moreStopped by with a friend who told me there’s a new souvlaki place in the neighborhood. When we went in to order I saw the souvlaki and kebabs are being grilled on charcoal that’s not settled yet which means the fire was still high on the grill over 10cm above the meat. The meat was smoking black before it was cooked which made the man who was at the grill squeezing the meat with his thumb and index a few times to check if the meat was cooked. I refused to order but my friend ordered one souvlaki 390€ French fries 4.00€ and Coca-Cola 1.80€. I took a picture of the French fries which I hope I can attach to show you how ridiculous it was to pay 4.00€ for that. 9.70€ for a poorly made and presented meal. If the quality is so poor when the shop is new I can imagine...
