Los Gatos — Restaurant in Athens

We came to Los Gatos hoping for a decent Mexican meal, but the experience was a frustrating disaster from start to finish. We ordered a few tacos and a portion of chimichangas. The tacos arrived quickly and were okay, though nothing special. Then the wait began. After a very long time, a churrasco plate was brought to our table. We immediately told the waiter this wasn't what we ordered, and he confirmed the mistake by checking his own ticket. What followed was absolutely baffling. We waited another 45 minutes with no communication, no apology, and no service whatsoever. Finally, we had to flag someone down and ask what was happening with our actual order. The person we spoke to then informed us they weren't even making the chimichangas because of a "misunderstanding." To summarize: They brought the wrong dish, confirmed it was wrong, and then just stopped making our food without telling us, leaving us to wait for nearly an hour for a meal that wasn't coming. We were craving some Latin food after only have some Greek. We know it’s hard to find good Latin food in this side of the world so we came in with low expectations but it was still not very good. We got a mojito and it was tasted horrible, like actual cough syrup so we didn’t finish it. We got a chicken and cheese quesadilla that looked nothing like one but the taste was fine. We got chips and guacamole. The chips were like Doritos that they probably just dumped a bag of into a bowl. The guacamole was good. We some Spanish paella, which was the best thing from the night and only thing we felt was made good enough to finish. If you are Hispanic, this food isn’t for you. The restaurant looked...

I wasin this restaurant with my family, and it was a total disappointment. The photos on Google looked amazing, but the reality was nothing like that.

The kids’ food was super hot, even though the waitress said it wasn’t. We ordered sweet potatoes that were undercooked, and my daughters ended up still hungry. My “Paella Valenciana” had only two prawns and a ton of rice, and it smelled bad — definitely not real paella. The sangria had no taste at all — terrible.

We paid €80 for this awful meal, and it was a complete waste. I’m not leaving this review out of anger, just honesty. Don’t be fooled by the photos — they’re not real. I don’t recommend this...
