Mother Vegan Bistro — Restaurant in Athens

I visited this café because I saw it was vegan and was hoping to have brunch and get some work done. Unfortunately, the only food option available was pie—which was fine, and both the pie and coffee were good (not amazing).

The woman working there was friendly at first and gave me the Wi-Fi password, but shortly after I finished eating, she turned the Wi-Fi off. I was the only customer, so it felt intentional—especially since she turned it back on right when I paid. This made her earlier friendliness feel a bit insincere. I would have preferred if she had simply told me she didn’t want me to stay too long instead of turning off the Wi-Fi. I've worked from cafes before and never had this issue...especially as I order a lot for my duration.

Overall, this café isn’t very coworking-friendly. I ended up going to the place right next door—ΆνθρωπΑς Bar—which had better coffee and let me work there...

This is just a perfect place to feel calm, peaceful, inspired and enjoy a good coffee and very good food. Big compliments to the pies (salty and sweet). The place is super tranquillo and the staff is so sweet. You start to love them and you just want to come back. If you're into music, they also really put good, arty, beautiful music that makes you feel at home. Everything is made with consideration, so it is not 'junk' vegan food but qualited vegan food. This small cafe is totally worth a visit even for non-vegans! The food tastes amazing and the owners of this cafe are incredibly kind people. The interior is made with love. It's mix between clean, modern design with raw, natural materials made is want to stay for hours. Everything is made with love and care and it tells through the food, design and atmosphere of this place.
