Firstly, kudos to the kitchen staff to provide great tasting food, otherwise it would be a much lower rating. The first ten minutes we almost walked out. We had called and made a reservation and had told them it was for 3 people. Upon arrival they sat us for a table for 4. We sat down and settled in to enjoy our dinner, but after 5 minutes they told us they sat us at the wrong table and got us up and moved us. This has NEVER happened to me. Then, they moved us to a tight corner where they had to move the table out so I could get in and not a few inches, but at least a foot (30 cm). If had I had to go to the washroom, it would not be possible because all our food and drink would be displaced. You would think we would got a discount, or free dessert for all this inconveniences, but no. The server came took our order and came back in about 10 minutes with everything we ordered, our drinks, salad, appetizer, main dishes. C'mon, basic 101 for restaurant food service, you don't do that. We couldn't enjoy the food because it was so rushed and so much at once. They don't care about the customer, but just how many they can serve. If you're in a hurry and don't want to relax, then, this is your place, otherwise go to one of the SO many other restaurants in the area.

Best meal I had in Plaka!! This place has amazing Greek food made with fresh and homemade ingredients. It has that homey and family feel to it when you walk in. There is a beautiful balcony where you can sit outside to enjoy the weather. Although it's in Plaka, it sits on a quieter street away from all the people and touristy shops. Also, it has amazing prices and the portions are huge! We got the 2 person for 30 euros, could barely finish the meal, and we can eat a lot of food! It includes an appetizer, 2 salads, 2 entrees, and dessert. Everything we got was AMAZING. The Greek salad had the freshest vegetables and a huge slab of feta cheese. The spicy cheese was so flavorful and rich, and the bread with it was warm and soft. The ntakos kritikos (basically Greek bruschetta) was HUUUGE and soo good!! All the tomatoes, cheese, and olives were piled onto the delicious bread. But the MVP of the whole meal were the meatballs. They were so tender and flavorful, they just melted in my mouth. The sauce with it was also delicious. And to top it all off, the service was amazing and everyone was so friendly. 100% recommend this place!!

Given the high ratings and guidebook recommendation, we had high hopes for this meal but we were ultimately very disappointed. Good points - friendly quick service, cheap set menu (€33 for 2), busy atmosphere, cheap but good lager and wine. Tzatziki was faultless and we liked the orange sponge cake. However, we found the majority of the food extremely bland and had to choose carefully to avoid frozen seafood. The bad quality of the food undermined any price offset. Courgette fritters tasted burnt, and the vine leaf rolls had no seasoning. The fried shrimp tasted fake and crunchy with the shells on. We both tried but disliked the semolina cake. Dishes that we wanted such as moussaka and spanokopita were not available (at only 8pm!). You could say the place is good value for money, but we paid the same amount a night before in Athens for a significantly nicer, still authentic, and similarly generous meal elsewhere (eg Ta Karamanlidika tou Fani). The toilets were grim too eg no locks on doors.

We randomly came across this restaurant. We decided to get the two person menu. It was €20 each = €40. The food is beautiful, very tasty and fresh fish! The service was very good overall. The only things I didn’t like is that you don’t get to choose from some of the other dish options for the menu for two.. some are exempt from the menu. Also, the portion sizes on some of the dishes are fairly small like the spinach pie which tasted delicious. We were also given a basket of fresh bread. The two pudding options I wasn’t a fan of.. we didn’t get to choose these either from that particular menu. Overall, I’d visit again but I would not get the two persons menu, however the deal was okay overall. The menu was slightly confusing, they did have English options but these weren’t clear to see in their menu.. It is a really nice setting, the balcony overlooking people passing by and the small birds were a nice touch. Overall I’d come here again, very tasty food.

Good local cuisine, with really good prices! Had the moussaka with tzatziki (it was amazing) and seasonal salad for 16€ (with water) and the dessert. Service was nice and did not took too long! Edit: Went there again since I had such a nice experience. Evene though I was alone and the restaurant was busy, they went out of their way and gave me a table for four just for me by the sidewalk, when guest left they even offered me a new table on the lovely terrace! Then I ordered a Greek salad which was big and super delicious and not drenched in olive oil like others, a spanakopita (spinach pie) which was amazing! The filo pastry was super thin and not greasy at all and the tzatziki (again) was so delicious! 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Athens! Note the bread is also fresh, fluffy and super good! Even though I ordered no dessert they gave me one for FREE and I am not sorry I caved to the friendly staff.
