Horrible, dangerous time here. We stopped in for lunch and 5 minutes after sitting down a man showed up with a metal grinding saw and proceeded to CUT THROUGH THE FLOORING of the outdoor area two table lengths away from where we were sitting, with no protective equipment or consideration of us sitting right next to him. The sounds were of course unbearable, but after 10 minutes of him doing this, he leaned this piece of flooring on a table literally one tables length away from us and continued cutting through the metal, sparks flying everywhere. There was more than enough room for him to move his DANGEROUS operation OUTSIDE of the dining area, but he set up next to us anyway. A piece of something hot and sharp hit my arm and we immediately prepared to leave. I'm in awe of how this restaurant would allow something this dangerous to happen within a few steps of us without any thoughts on safety. There's a reason construction workers wear tons of special equipment, this distance would have been dangerous even for other people dressed with appropriate goggles and safety clothing. Absolutely insane.
Also, they'll charge you for anything they put on your table, so be aware of things that they bring without you asking for them.
Edit: as a response to the response I received from the owner: I absolutely called him over and asked him if the extra food he put on the table was correct and meant for us, because I had a feeling something was not right. He assured me everything was fine, as if it was complimentary. I was confused but accepted, and was charged for it anyway. They also charge for the drinks they put out when you arrive, regardless of whether you ask for them. This was absolutely a deceptive practice, and it makes me hate patronizing restaurants like this. I'm sure tourists won't mind a few euros here and there, and surely many of them find it hard to read a Greek receipt so it's easy to miss, but why must you operate in a dishonest way? Just tell...
Read morea must do if you’re in the area!! my mother and i had been searching for somewhere to eat, not feeling super adventurous, so looking for a pizza place or something similar. before we had even walked near, you could smell the food. as we walked past, we saw the crowds of people swarming into seats. grabbed our own asap, with the help of Nikolas, making sure we had drinks otw. after being asked what food we would like, we stared back with blank faces, unsure as we hadn’t even looked at the menu before seating ourselves. Nikolas was an absolute babe yet again, taking us from our table, to where their food is prepared and talking the two of us through it all. i’m not a big fan of meat, but decided to try the pork as i couldn’t resist after the way it was described, and my mother had the lamb. all i can say is that it absolutely lived up to the business of the restaurant, and honestly the description, as amazing as it was, couldn’t begin to describe the delicacy that was served. we were checked up on often, but not so much that it felt suffocating. absolutely recommend if you’re visiting athens, the greatest meal i think i...
Read moreWe had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The food was not only incredible but also came in generous portions. We ordered the Kokoretsi, which was roasted to perfection and served beautifully. The Lamb Head was a standout dish, incredibly succulent and flavorful. The staff went above and beyond by taking the meat off the bones for us, which was a thoughtful touch.
The Ayran yogurt drink was rich and creamy, striking the perfect balance of flavors. The chicken gyro was massive and satisfying, loaded with cheese. I also appreciated that they accommodated my request to substitute the fries with salad, as I don't eat fries.
What truly stood out, apart from the delicious food, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I can't wait to return and try the lamb and kidney dish. Kudos to the team for their hospitality! Highly...
