To Omorfo is a family-run restaurant offering homemade traditional Greek cuisine, and it’s one of our favorite restaurants in Athens. We regularly visit or order delivery, and every time, we enjoy excellent meals. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food and wants to experience authentic flavors.
Their menu changes daily. Whenever you visit, there's always a wide variety of dishes, so you'll have no trouble finding something you like. Despite having visited many times and tried different dishes, we have yet to encounter something we didn't enjoy. In addition to their main courses, I must mention that their soups (especially the chicken soup), desserts, and white house wine are also very good.
When you arrive, they show you the dishes they've prepared that day and explain each one in detail before you order. You then choose your dishes and take a seat. If you'd like to check the day's menu before going, you can visit their Facebook page, where they post it around noon.
There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The atmosphere is very calm and pleasant. The restaurant is tidy and clean, and the staff are always attentive and polite. The prices are quite reasonable, and the portions are satisfying.
We also recommend this restaurant to many tourists staying at our Airbnb, and the feedback we’ve received from them has been excellent.
Additionally, they offer delivery through efood, and they always deliver on time. My only small complaint is that the portion sizes for delivery are not as large as those in the restaurant. I hope they take this into...
Read moreWe discovered this place, practically right around the corner from our hotel St. George Lycabettus, on the recommendation of our consierge. Oh my--our favorite Athens restaurant by far, and in the top 3 of all restaurants on our 11 day trip from Venice to Croatia to Greece. We were there later in the evening, the only patrons seated inside on a quiet Monday night. The father-son combination who took care of us provided excellent recommendations of the best orzo, Italian meatballs, mashed potatoes, local rose wine and beer. Plus, classic Greek deserts. Sounds simple, but it was AMAZING. And the father-son were so friendly and charming. Great way to conclude...
Read moreIt is a small restaurant with a small menu, but still very tasty and yet changing the menu on daily basis. The taste of the food is like home made and you don't feel you are eating out. The food is cooked with lots of passion and all varieties in the menus are delicious.
If you need to eat a real authentic Greek food without any external cuisines effect, you need to try this restaurant without hesitation.
The location and the view is not that great but what really matters as you would not care much about the view when you taste this nice food.
Highly recommended lunch and dinner...
