Tavern Koutoukaki — Restaurant in Kavala Municipality

Had a very unpleasant experience. I asked what was in the mixed appetisers to check if it was vegetarian and was told it was. I was also told it didn't include vine leaves so I ordered an extra plate of vine leaves because I wanted to try some. When it arrived there were sausages in the middle of some dips and chips and none of the things such as grilled vegetables that I was told were on the platter were included, but there were 4 vine leaves! I wouldn't have ordered a whole separate plate if I'd known. When I complained about the meat I was told I could take it off. I said I wasn't comfortable as a vegetarian and so the waiter grudgingly took the meat off the plate for me. When I asked for the chips to be replaced they grudgingly bought some more - and when they brought the bill they had charged me for an additional plate of chips!! I managed to contest the bill after some argument, but it was an altogether unpleasant experience with an incredibly unhelpful waiter! Would not recommend especially if you are a solo traveller...

Great food and great people!

Get the 2-person mixed grill (17€) with the Greek salad (6€) and tsatziki (3€). If you aren't as hungry, two people could share the 1-person mixed grill. You will not go home hungry as the portion sizes are generous. The meats are delicious and seasoned perfectly. The salad is fresh.

Εξαιρετικό φαγητό και εξυπηρέτηση, αλλά μερικές αστοχίες.

Επισκεφθήκαμε αυτή την ταβέρνα στην Καβάλα το Φλεβάρη και μείναμε απόλυτα ικανοποιημένοι από το φαγητό και την εξυπηρέτηση. Ο ιδιοκτήτης ήταν ιδιαίτερα ευγενικός και εξυπηρετικός, κάνοντάς μας να νιώσουμε ευπρόσδεκτοι από την πρώτη στιγμή. Τα πιάτα που δοκιμάσαμε ήταν εξαιρετικά.

Ωστόσο, υπήρχαν δύο σημεία που μας προβλημάτισαν. Πρώτον, την ημέρα που επισκεφθήκαμε το μαγαζί είχε αρκετό κρύο, και δυστυχώς καθίσαμε σε έναν χώρο που δεν ήταν καλά θερμαινόμενος. Μόνο φεύγοντας διαπιστώσαμε ότι υπήρχε και δεύτερος, πιο ζεστός χώρος, όπου βρίσκονταν οι περισσότεροι πελάτες. Θα ήταν καλό αν ο ιδιοκτήτης μας είχε ενημερώσει σχετικά, ώστε να απολαύσουμε το γεύμα μας πιο άνετα.

Δεύτερον, κάτι που μας ξένισε ήταν το γεγονός ότι το κατάστημα δεν δέχεται πληρωμές με κάρτα, κάτι που αναγραφόταν σε μια πολύ μικρή επιγραφή χαμηλά στην είσοδο. Θεωρούμε ότι τέτοιου είδους πληροφορίες πρέπει να είναι πιο εμφανείς, ώστε να μην υπάρχουν παρεξηγήσεις.

Συνολικά, πρόκειται για ένα μαγαζί με υπέροχο φαγητό και εξαιρετική φιλοξενία, αλλά με μικρές λεπτομέρειες που θα μπορούσαν να βελτιώσουν την εμπειρία του επισκέπτη. Αν αποφασίσετε να το επισκεφθείτε, φροντίστε να καθίσετε στον ζεστό χώρο και να έχετε...
