I must admit I am really disappointed. I love trying new greek restaurnats because of the unique greek culture, the fresh sea food, and all the music and dances played there. However, the food variety was poor, no greek music, neither good service were present. The restaurnat looked like very popular (lots of people were having food when I entered). Me and my friends ordered one greek salad, fried calamri, a whole squid made with butter on pan, a pot with variefy of fresh fried fish and fried zucchini with tzatziki. Around 15 min later, the waitress informed me that there was a reduction of the items in the menu, so I ordered seabass insted of the pot with various fishes. I find this mistake understandable since it is normal for a fish restaurnat to sold out some of their items. But when they came again, insisting to order sth else because they were out of seabass I just asked them to tell me exactly what they have. And it was really strange that from list with approximately 30 dishes I could order only shrimps, squid or fresh cod. And I ordered (for third time) the cod. The cod was actually delicious but on the dish (u can see on the photo) there was some strange paste which ingredients I couldnt identify. It was really disgusting. The zucchini were so greasy that they were sticked together and the tzatziki lacked any flavour. The squid was not terrible but lacked any tenderness. I also think that I was waiting for too long before...
Read moreComing to Kavala only to enjoy the food of restaurant Nemesis for many years. This place WAS one of my favorite restaurants , where i was enjoying for many years their dishes , until now . Not sure what happened ( ownership change or kitchen staff) but the food quality right now is probably lower than a fast food version of the same . I ordered as always : fry calamari , fry zucchini and greek salad. The calamari were not the same as before ( crunchy and fresh) , now they were soft , soaked with cooking oil and really bad . The fry zucchini were just as bad , greasy and soft . The zucchini dressing was made with mayonnaise ( very bad choice, since there is a plenty of Greek Yogurt to make the dressing with ) . We left this place very disappointed, with half the food still on the table . If you pay attention around, you’ll notice other tables left with the food still on it . That’s a very bad sign, that shows how poor this place is managed now days . People are still coming, but only because of the inertia from the past, just to realize that things had changed for bad . People leaving positive reviews recently are either confused or have no idea how the traditional greek food supposed to taste . Better choices are...
Read moreDISASTER. We had dinner the first night, everything was fine. We were charmed by the large portions and the little money we paid. The staff - misguided. One takes the order, the second brings cutlery and bread, water... the third brings the main food. They don't know the serving tables.. brings the wrong orders. We decided to stay a second night in this establishment. We waited 10 minutes and they seated us. They got my mother's order wrong twice..!!!!!! She wanted fried cod fillet.. and they probably brought another fish (horse mackerel fish). We sent it back.. they ordered a new one - they brought breaded fried fish... I showed them what fried fillet means... that is, fillet in a pan with oil... and not fried like buns. My chicken was raw!!!! I called the waitress - Marina, who constantly scolded the misguided boys. You are looking to remove the fish and chicken. It's funny that they bring water and bread without asking. You think it's a compliment, like in Turkey... but no!! You pay! It's a shame and it's funny.. let them include it and break it into the price of the main dinner.. to make you feel special. The food is salty.. a packet of...
